Pack a day 20 year smoker and I am finally done with cigarettes. Realistically without vaping, I never would have quit until smoking killed me. Currently I am using V2s. They are an ok intro for a total noob, IMHO. Smokers are an oddly habitual type. After reading about 1000 posts on this forum I have a couple eGo twist/Vivi on the way. Yeah.
Granted I have only been researching vaping for a couple weeks, BUT I am perplexed and astounded by the organizational/legal protests against vaping. There seems to be an unrealistic expectation of, ‘If there is even a possibility of danger, ban it!’. It is pure hypocrisy as applied to the reality of life (alcohol, vehicles, swimming pools, etc) that we accept and approve poses documented danger. By that logic, water is fatal if inhaled.
Simply put, I think vaping has an image problem not a safety issue. I cannot see how it is markedly different than patches, gum, or inhalers. Yet somehow vaping is pushed to the fringe. There is so much I do not understand about both vaping and the societal hurdles to gain widespread acceptance. I cannot wait to dig in and get my learn on in this forum.
If FDA, American Cancer Society, American Lung Association, etc.. have a more effective solution to get people off the stinkies, they need to release the secret rather than fighting vaping. Otherwise, I consider their efforts as disingenuous.
Anecdotally, I did have a Marlboro Light a few days ago. I almost fell over from the head rush. That tells me I am getting less nicotine from vaping than analogs. More nicotine was the only semi-legitimate part of their argument.
I am probably preaching/ranting to the choir, but I like this choir.
I am ecstatic to not smoke... I finally can taste food and have superhero level scent detection.
