First time posting here on ECF.
Been lurking around the forum for a few weeks now trying to soak up some information.
I think I will try to keep this post a meet and greet so I can burn some newbie posts on other questions.
My name is Dan and I am a software engineer from the San Francisco bay area. I am 27 years old and I was until recently was an analog smoker for 10 years. I smoked about a pack a day, probably twice that when beer and friends were part of the equation. I can proudly say that I have now been analog free since the first of November. I was pretty determined for awhile to kick the habit and was using patches/gum, although I still found myself having a few smokes a day. Both my roommates are smokers and it was pretty easy to snake one when I was having a weak moment. Since he knew I was trying to quit one of the roommates let me have a little XHale02 ecig that he picked up from 711. I started using it with quite a bit of success. I eventually stopped using the patches/gum completely and just used the ecig. It was decent for a complete newbie but I found myself messing with it almost all the time just to get it to vape decently. A week or so later I picked up a Volcano Inferno which was recommended to me by some other buddies of mine who vape and I love it and have not looked back!
Little more about me, I am a pretty big nerd. Enjoy programming(mostly PHP and JavaScript), playing video games, bowling, brewing beer, shooting guns, and now of course vaping!
You guys have a great community going here I am am glad to be part of it!
Hoping to meet some new people, educate myself on the world of vaping and eventually share my knowledge with others.
