Hello Everyone,

As you can see I am new here, and I am new to vaping. I have just ordered my eGo 2 days ago so I am still waiting for it to come in. Today will be my last day of smoking analog's, hopefully. I started getting into vaping by using the infamous njoy and Lotus e-cigs from local gas stations. I wanted to purchase something that would be cheaper to vape than the gas station versions since carto refills are just as expensive as smoking analog's. I was going through 2-3 carto's a day at 16mg nic level's and for the Lotus, it was $10.00 for 2 carto refills, and of course the battery only lasted me about 3 hours.

At first, I was completely unaware that I would still turn into a demon from withdraw while using the e-cig, I figured I could avoid that by using the e-cig to quit, and boy was I wrong. I did quit smoking for about 6 months with using the e-cig, but I relapsed back in March of this year when my Lotus fell into the pool. I was thinking about getting the Volt, but I wanted something a bit easier to refill and less likely to leak.

As I mentioned above, I did order the eGo. I ended up with the eGo C model starter kit with the CE4 clearo, which I will be switching to either the CE5 or the CE4 clearo V2 I believe it is called, that way the wick's can be replaced as needed, plus I enjoy the cool color's on the clearo's
:p Anyways, that's enough about me, once I can quit my analog's my next feat will to be switching the hubby onto vaping and he will likely also go with the same kit I have.

I look forward to learning a lot more about vaping, and I look even more forward to being analog free.

Cheers,
TT

Welcome to ECF, and I'm glad you're giving vaping another try. The cigalikes didn't work for me, either, but once I got the right setup it was relatively painless to ditch the analogs. You've come to the right place for info, advice and support, so don't hesitate to holler if you need help!

Cheers, and happy vaping :toast::vapor:

Thank you for the warm welcome Sonic! I'm sure once my new eGo comes in the mail I will have a lot of questions, but for now, I have been finding all the answers to my questions from the search feature. So far this forum is highly informative, and has made me that much more excited to jump on the wagon so to speak.

Smokachino and Johnny, Thank you as well for the warm welcomes. I look forward to giving this another shot. I always tell my friends that you're not a failure until you quit trying.

LOL Leo, I'm excited about quitting analog's, but not having to quit the act of smoking. I enjoy smoking way to much to give it up cold turkey, and after the first attempt, I think my husband is fully on board with me vaping so that we don't end up trying to go after each other's throats. I know there are Health risks and benefits to vaping, but they outweigh the health risks to smoking analog's, so far anyways. I think the one thing I am mostly excited about, is cutting my risk for heart attack, stroke, and cancer WAY down by switching, oh and I won't smell like an ashtray.

Welcome back... my wife loves her pink eGo Twist and I am in love with my Vision Spinner. Our experience between the KR808D-1 or D-2 style batteries vs our eGo batteries is night and day. The eCig looking battery (KR808D-2) worked for us in stopping our analog habit but the eGo made it fun.

After reading this and seeing my wife out the back window by the pool I am jumping off ECF to order more backup batteries :laugh:

LOL Kevin!! The best part is that the eGo batteries are so cheap as stand alone's compared to the 808's. I had paid $56.00 for my first Njoy startup kit last year, all I received in the package was my battery, and a bottle of 12 carto's, a charger and a instruction manual. This time around I got an express kit which is my eGo 650mah battery(to start with) a CE4 clearo, I believe either 15 or 30ml of juice, and a charger for a whopping $16.00! I love that you can purchase just the batteries for $10-$20 a piece compared to having to purchase a whole new kit of the 808's. Plus as many carto's a I went through, it is by far cheaper. Oh and yes....The pool+PV can be a bad mix lol
