I decided for my bday this year that I was going to quit "smoking" and realistically knew that I wouldn't be able to go cold turkey. So I did a bit of research on "vaping" (overwhelming to say the least) lol So, I decided to go with the 510 starter kit and I wish that I had done this sooner! Easy awesome to get started and I'm digging that I'm not being an evil witch and don't even want an "analog" anymore. Yay. The choices on flavors and pg/vg still has me a little twisted, but I'm sure once I find a couple that I like it won't seem so difficult to choose. I really wish that there were a retail location to go into and shop/talk to other ppl. I think this site may help though. I just am not a big typing fan lol. Anywho that's all for now I guess

WELCOME TO THE ECF

I can actually relate to your story a little bit. When I started with my very first kit (smoke51 TIO SMH). It was around my birthday but anyways. I also wished there was some local stores near me but I have found that all the vendors I have dealt with online are very accommodating and have great customer service skills. Some even have a number for you to reach them at and ask questions over the phone.

Which 510 kit are you thinking about? I'm asking since there are a LOT, I mean a LOT of them. Is it the cig-type ones, egos, rivas, kgos, etc...

What are you looking to get from this kit? Long battery life, versatility, performance...?

EDIT: Which flavors are you gonna try first or willing to try? I can give you a few suggestions on juice vendors if you want.

Welcome to the world of vaping! There's so much to learn, so much to try, and way too little time to do it all! This forum helped me as a newbie to vaping, and continues to help me as a not-so-newbie. :)

Everyone here is kind and helpful, so if you have questions don't hesitate to ask!

Welcome chel. Yes, there is a lot of info here. One suggestion I would like to make about juice. My very small sample sizes, like 3ml in case you don't like it you're not out a lot of money. Lots of vendors sell sample packs of 5 flavors and more. Get lots of small samples until you find something you like and then buy bigger bottles.

I'm fairly new to vaping also, about a month and a half, and the forum is definitely helpful. I also learned a lot from watching TONS of youtube videos about vaping- you can find just about anything just searching the videos on vaping. And when you're first starting out, it's great to be able to actually see the people do things and explain as they go.. the basics on how to use them, how to clean them, etc.

Howdy, keep reading and get some sample bottles of e-liquid, then get some more sample bottles, and when your done get some sample bottles. That's the way it usually starts out, then you find the flavors you like, then you start looking at better e-cigs & mods. Just one word of advice, have a bunch of fun while doing it.

I got the joy 510 kit to start with and have started using a drip tip which is better. Still playing around with flavors and such and got a lr atty. I did find a local store and that was nice, but still trying to find what exactly I want. I have tried about 20 different flavors (samples) and realized that my tastes change daily lol. I am okay with the battery life right now mostly. I have 3 manual batteries so one is always charged. So glad I stopped smoking and started vaping and won't be going back... I appreciate any advice or suggestions as the available options out there are still very overwhelming.
