Another new vaper. My story.

After a long day at work having smoked 2 packs of Marlboro's, feeling like crap I stopped in the local Race Trac for a cup of coffee. On a whim, I picked up a njoy starter kit. Was pretty impressed with it. I was really surprised that I found myself beginning to prefer these to my Marlboro's, and smoking maybe a half pack a day in between Njoys.

I've never really tried to quit smoking. I like smoking, hamburgers, beer, and pretty much everything that is bad for you. Figured I'd live well, if not long. In short, I figured on smoking until I died.

I have not quit smoking. I'll smoke if I feel like it. Thing is, I've come to PREFER e-cigs to analogs. So I haven't smoked a cigarette in a couple of weeks now. May not ever again.

The Njoys, while the juice does taste good, quite close to a regular smoke IMO, they were a PIA to drag. Really have to work to get a decent hit. Not to mention, it cost about the same a analogs do in my relatively low cost state. So after much searching of this forum and other sites, I settled on the Joye 510t set up. Love the 510t. Leaps and bounds better than what I started out with. I was torn between the 510t and the ego t, but I just like the smaller size of the 510t.

Started out with 8 different kinds of tobacco flavored juices, and am sitting here vapeing a blend of Dekang cigar, palmal, and JC chocolate truffle mix. So the quest for the perfect juice has begun!

Welcome to the flavor quest and congrat on your first steps... the 510t is pretty awesome... my friend has one.. sorry to hear about your problems with the njoy, but seems like you have 1 of the newer batts with the smaller holes...save it though because it is a great backup and they sell the cartos at most 711/gas stations

WIll do. I have 2 Njoy batteries and several unopened cartos in my work truck. Just in case!

Welcome Big Screen! So happy to read that you're enjoying the vape and your new setup! Two weeks... congratz.

Wish I could help you with the liquid, but taste is such personal preference.

Welcome Big Screen D. Story sounds similar. I bought a POS disposable at a local gas station the day after I was freeking out looking for a piece of nicorette in my car while SMOKING. I saw a sign for electronic cig and figured wtf. Tried it and noticed I did not smoke all night. It took me some time (about 2 months) to find ECF and good gear. A year later I am still smoke free and have an awesome collection of MOD's and DIY gear. Best of luck to you and happy vapes!

I was Marb light smoker and found Halo juice (Freedom and Torque) worked for me the first few months. I have since moved on from tobacco based juices. Others here really dig a good RY4 and many vendors carry that. Maybe someone with more knowledge on that flavor could point you to ma good one.

I started making my own juice. I take TW 36mg flavorless and mix it with VG glycerine bought at Michelle’s hobby store. It's the same crap they use for making cakes and pastry decorations. I mix 10 drops of 36mg and 18 of glycerin and 1 drop of water. This gives you a dose that is equal to a light cigarette at about .642 mg per drop. Load each cartridge with 12 to 15 drops which equals to a little over a half of pack of cigs. I do this because all the flavorings are irritants therefore this is a clean hitting mix that does taste the burnt monkey ....

So the quest for the perfect juice has begun!

Ha! I've been vaping for a few months and I'm right there with you.

I've found a lot of good juices but not sure I've found the perfect one yet. It's been a fun ride though.

Currently I'm vaping Honeybeez and Fiddler from Digitalciggz (Honeybeez seems to be a love it or hate it vape so vape at your own risk). It was a little weird at first trying fruit and candy flavors but I've found some good stuff out there. The Atomic Cinnacide from Tastyvapor is awesome (if you like atomic fireballs that is).

The one thing I haven't found is a good plain tobacco flavor yet. I'd love something that tastes like chawing on a good cigar (without the smoke taste naturally) but haven't found that so far.

So far, the closest thing I've concocted that taste like tobacco is a 10:4 Dekang Cigar/JC Chocolate Truffle blend.

Funny how quickly some of the juices that at first tasted terrible to me, have become rather good. I can see how vapers evolve into what at first blush to a smoker seems so weird like fruit and candy flavors. I've already placed a juice order for blueberry and vanilla. Figured those flavors would be good to experiment with tobaco blends if I don't care for them outright.
