My best friend recently posted an introduction on here (hi Steve lol) and inspired me to finally come out of lurking. He and I quit within 1 day of each other and recently celebrated 4 weeks smoke-free. His support through all of this has been so invaluable, and it's so wonderful to have someone by your side every step of the way going through exactly what you are that doesn't just smile and nod at what you are saying. I'm so thankful for having him by my side, and so very proud of him as well. He was just as heavy of a smoker as I (close to 2 packs a day). Though I have been doing well so far, my husband has been taking a bit longer on his road. I'm really proud of how hard he is trying though, and he will get there in his time. He just needs to kick that last 1-2 a day that creep into his workday due to him having a hard time working his PV into his work environment.
I can honestly say as well that I could not have done it without this forum. I was lucky enough to get started based on the advice of a friend to try the ego-C (I had tried his), I'm not the type of person that can do anything without researching it to pieces (or at least the point where my husband threatens divorce if I don't make a decision). Thus how I found ECF and began spending many, many, many, hours here learning as much as I could about anything and everything.
Those hours however have helped me place orders with some of the better vendors to try popular and higher rated juices, research devices, learn how to clean or maintain the items I've been purchasing, and eventually led me to feel comfortable when I decided to take the plunge into buying a Provari. After a few weeks with the ego and non stop research, I had decided that I was all-in, and I definitely wanted to get into VV, and I wanted super durable and something I wouldn't have to worry about. I panic at the thought of spending money, and ECF reviews and members gave me the confidence that my money would be well spent and that I and my health were worth the investment.
So I can't thank you guys enough. Though I'm sure my husband could beat you all for the amount of money I have spent trying this and that based on what I've read lol, it's because of all of you that I seem to have a semi-decent sense of what I'm doing so far as a noob, and my lil stockpile is full of solid brands and quality juices and equipment. I hope you all know what a difference you can make in the life of a new vaper, because you made a ton of difference in mine, and I don't know that I could have stuck with it if I hadn't found you. Thanks for everything you do for all the noobs. =)
Sorry for the novel lol. Aside from that, I'm a 33 y/o mom of a 7 y/o Diva in Asheville NC. I do Web Design, Graphic Design, and most anything design/code/geek related that keeps me out of direct sunlight hehe.
