Another noob, another probably answered question

Hello! I have been vaping for about three weeks now, a week without analogs! Couldn't do that with two stints of Chantix, multiple times with the patch and gum methods etc...

I am currently enjoying the Bloog products but am looking for something with longer battery life for taking to work with me. The Bloogs are nice and I recently purchased 50 blank carts from Smokless Image to use on them so I am looking for longer battery life as well as great vapor to enjoy my FSUSA flavors.
I have looked at the egoT and the Riva but am confused to how they work being I am used to a two piece setup. Is there anything similar that my carts will work on battery wise? Or are the tank systems a great next step. Either way i will still stick with my Bloogs because I do like the "analog" feel, but like the idea of something that will last all day without changing out batteries or carts.

Any and all suggestions will be greatly appreciated!

You can still use cartomizers with the eGo and Rivas, but you'll either need an adapter (510 > 808carto) or just buy new cartos. The eGo and Rivas both use an atomizer/cartridge (carts) system. You just screw the atomizer on the battery and put a cart on the atomizer. I drip and use cartos myself and I find that to be very easy and less messy.

Thanks for the reply. So my understanding is I can use the same cartomizers I already have just by attaching them to the atomizer? This is where I get confuzzled, a carto is both a cartridge and atomizer, so what purpose does attaching it to the atomizer have? is it just to apply power to the cartomizer?

You can use your Bloog KR808 cartomizers on a Riva 510 but you need an adaptor to do that.

WOH is explaining to you that the Riva can be used several ways- drip directly into the atomizer, use cartomizers, or use cartridge/atty. But to use your Bloog cartos you need an adaptor. I think Liberty Flight carries them.

That's what I started off doing when I got a decent battery, but the more I played with the atomizer the more I came to like it, and I think you will too... Direct dripping is great, when you have the time. I still use cartomizers when I'm driving, working, or otherwise too occupied to deal with the sticky mess that dripping CAN turn into.

For the most part, a battery is a battery, and all the adapter will do is adapt the threading from the battery to the cartomizer, atomizer, tank, or whatever other liquid delivery system you use...

Cartomizers are a combination of the atomizer and cartridge all in one piece that you just screw into the battery. This makes a two piece e-cig. An atomizer is a piece that screws into the battery so you can either drip or use cartridges (this is also known as a three piece e-cig.) They're two different things.

You won't be able to use the cartos from SI on the Riva or eGo without the adapter. This is just a small piece with two threaded sides that lets you use cartos and atties with different threads. So you would need a 510 > 808 adapter. One end screws into the battery and the other threaded side is where you attach your carto.

Using the Riva battery plus a cartomizer will be similiar to what you're doing now with your Bloog except battery life is a great deal longer. I can't say if it's exactly experience as you have now because I've never tried a Bloog but have used a KR808 and a 510 and Ego, and I like all three. I really like the longer battery life of an ego.

With a tank system, you have a little plastic tank that you fill with liquid (no filling like the cartomizer), you attach this to an atomizer and place it on your battery. The plus with this is that that tank holds more juice that a cartomizer, you can see when you need to add juice. The negative is that it needs to be cleaned, sometimes you have to make adjustments to the wick which can be difficult.

You can always pick up a tank and tank atty at a later time.

So I have two dead bloog batteries, and one functional. (Which is a kr808 with 901 threading)
My girlfriend came over for the weekend with her ego kit (which has 510 threading)
I stole one of her batteries.
I have an adapter for 901-510
I screwed that on, and popped on my favorite carto.
am happily vaping on my frankenstein's monster of a PV
It looks a little weird, but totally works.

Looking at LF I am debating on the Ego standard or the EgoT starter kits. Which should I choose?

I assume that I can buy either along with an adapter so I can still use my cartomizers I already own with it, but if I spend the little extra on the EgoT kit I will also have what I need to try the other vaping methods correct?

After reading some reviews I think the Ego itself is the way I want to go, just don't know which kit that will offer the most options available with just making a single purchase....if that makes any sense.

Have you looked into the Echo? Long battery life, a new 1300mAh kit is out and I believe it's compatible with KR808 cartos without the need for an adapter.

I take two of the basic batteries in to work with me (ego t) - I work 12 hour shifts. That lasts the time no worries.

IMO, I would go with a Riva Kit instead of the Ego/Ego-T. Cheaper, and supposedly has regulated voltage compared with the Ego batteries.

Some people swear by the reliability of Ego batteries vs. Riva. Regardless, the Riva is a good system that will give you a slightly warmer vape over the Ego-T. You should be aware that the Ego-T will leak occasionally.

Once you get a system, you can always experiment with Ego tanks, Boge LR cartomizers and Smoktech dual-coil cartomizers. They will all fit on a system with 510-compatible threads. Your 808 cartomizers will fit on the same system with a 808->510 mini adapter.

The aforementioned Echo is also a good system with much better battery life and excellent juice capacity if you're looking at other sites.
