First of all, hello to everyone and thanks for all the information. I've been smoking for about 10 years, made the switch to vaping August 10, 2013 and haven't turned back. I'd been toying with the idea ever since a former coworker had been using a cig-a-like setup and some DIY juice and cartos. At my previous job e-cigs kinda blew up and more and more people were converting and ending up with Vamos, MVPs and more serious devices that caught my interest a bit more.
I made the plunge and ordered an ego kit with a couple of Ego-C batteries and the mouthpiece/tank/atomizer combo system. This was quite finicky and I knew I would need to upgrade before too long, but it got me through for my first month or so and kept me off the cancer sticks. I ended up ordering a Protank and it was a HUGE leap ahead for me. Again, the Protank was finicky in it's own ways, but the decent sized tank the fact that it was much more servicable gave me the gas to move forward.
I eventually picked up a Vamo kit as an upgrade, which was another huge step forward, and started rebuilding/rewicking Protank heads. The Vamo began my love of variable voltage/wattage that continues today and gave me the flexibility of different battery sizes, though I have almost always stuck with 18350 mode and carrying a spare. I had also picked up a Protank mini and tried a couple of other clearos, sticking with the Protanks. This combo got me through for most of the time since.
I've since pcked up a Silver Bullet, LavaTube V.2, AGA-T2, RSST, and my current favorite setup, ProVari Mini w/Kayfun Lite Plus. Microcoils with boiled organic cotton wicks in an RBA on a VV/VW device is my go-to and I really can't imagine anything will be better than the ProVari Mini with my Kayfun Lite Plus, but it just keeps getting better, so you never know.
My biggest struggle (and expense) has been finding juices that I really like. I've got a ton of juices that I've tried and will probably never finish (classifieds, here I come), but have finally settled on a couple that have become dependable all day vapes.
So, hopefully this wasn't too long-winded, and hopefully other beginners might see that there is light at the end of the tunnel, but most of all this is just a hello and a thank you for all that I've benefited from this forum while lurking for the past 6 months or so. Hopefully I can contribute and help others as I've been helped so far.
