Hello all,
My story seems to be like SO many others out there. Was researching for E-Cigs online, got really excited about all the options and success stories.
Couldn't wait to jump right in, so off to Walgreens to give the Blu's a try, to see if vaping really was for me and the wife, (yes she is sick and tired of cigarettes as well, after 20 some odd years of them and she is here with me in the e-cig adventure!) so we picked up two Blu disposables, menthol for her, tobacco for me. We were hooked! We talked about the different options and kept an eye on the Walgreens kit.
Took the plunge with the kit, two days later and two days after that we were very disappointed and looking for better vaping and battery experience. Honestly, thought the kit woulda been better than the disposables, boy were we wrong. Got burnt. Of course the next evening is when I found the ECF! How I didn't come across it doing my first round of research before the Blu disposables, I'll never know or understand....Just glad I did a few days after!
The ECF is unbelievable, with the wealth and depth of information and the willingness of members to help each other and noobs out. Has already lead me to know, at least think I know, which way we're headed.
Looking to get a couple of eGo kits (his and hers), just need to decide on ego-C or -T. I'm thinking for what I've read -C is where I'm heading.. Probably 900mAh and extra packs of blanks for the juices. Then again the kGo and Riva look just as dependable, if not more so.
Anyway, howdy everyone and so glad to found this place, (even if it was 4 days too late) Ha!
Thoughts about if we are headed in right direction? Joye eGo, -C, -T, kGo or Riva. She's a PAD and I would be if not for working in an office all day. So battery life and qty of juice through the day is Very important.
Oh, one last thing.... Batteries that I can use to finish up the extra Blu cartridge flavors we bought? Don't even wanna deal with the half to one hour charge on those downright silly 80 mAh things Ever again!

Sorry I rambled there some, Ha!

Sleepy

Hello all,
My story seems to be like SO many others out there. ...

Wow, you quick on the uptake and definitely headed in the right direction. At the point you are it's all a matter of personal preference, but there's the rub, eh?

I started with a $30 Riva kit and then bought another when one of the batteries died. Since then I've experimented with some equipment, different juices, tank cartridges (hold more than come with a kit), cartomizers, and dripping.

After a year my rig is an 1000mah eGo-T pass-through (which can be unplugged and taken for shopping trips), VG juiced from Virgin Vapors, and tank cartridges. Why? Because this particular setup works for me. :)

Anyway, howdy everyone and so glad to found this place, (even if it was 4 days too late) Ha!

Aha grasshopper, but it's not too late, you've found us and now you're in for one of the best rides of your life.

If you mean vaping at your desk, pass-throughs like this one - Genuine Joye eGo-T 1000mah Pass-Through can be hooked up to the computer to get continual charge. They can also be hooked up direct to the electrical outlet with a 110VAC to USB 5v 2000mAh wall adapter power port if you have access to an electrical outlet where you work.

Additionally a pass-through can minimally just charge the unit while you work if you are required to go outside while you vape.

I'm entirely unfamiliar with Blu so someone else will have to answer that question.

Sorry I rambled there some, Ha!

No worries, we're glad you're here! :)

Hi Sleepyvh and welcome to ECF! Glad to hear you and your wife have decided to join the Vaping community. If you are considering an Ego with a tank system I would go with the Ego C. The tank system on the C is a big improvement over the A and B tanks which can be used in the T. I would definitely get two batteries each as you always need a back up for when one is charging or for if one stops working. I would suggest purchasing Joye brand of Ego. Rocky Mountain Vapor and Ecig Express seem to have good pricing on the Ego C kits. I would also purchase some Boge SR (standard resistance) and LR (low resistance) cartomizers to see if you prefer them to the tanks. Please note that when you fill the tank you will want to make sure you see air bubbles rise and their is air in the top of the tank to verify that it is wicking. If not just tap the tank until you see the air bubbles, this will prevent dry hits.

Here is a link to coupon codes for Vendors who are members of ECF. Just hit search and enter the vendor name in the "enter search item" box to find out what coupons they might currently have.

Okay, I'm determined to build me an eGo stick.... probably gonna be with a Pass-through, had seen them, but never really considered it, till Outre made me realize it wasn't one that was ONLY tied to the computer... only there while charging. And am looking at the -C components and Boge Cartomizers as well, thanks ManuDawg. Don't want my e-cig to look too crazy, gonna try to keep it looking as stock or simple as possible. Thanks for suggestions. Keep em coming.

My "other" problem is the wife is kinda turning her nose up at the larger eGo style setup... so Trying to find something that will suit her (Cig size) but with all day battery.... and yes I know there are the Mega types for the 510s and such, but she doesn't really like the Longer slim battery either ! HA !

Welcome to my world....

Still new to the world of vaping myself, I went with the ego-c and then 2 days ago i got the ego vv twist, love this thing! Still using the standard atty/tank system on the twist and it works perfectly for my tastes. Not sure if blu is compatible with any others out there, I bought 1 gas station disposable ecig then dove head first into the bigger stuff LOL

The Volt may be a PV for your wife to consider. The 78mm batteries will usually last me almost a day.

Show her some of the pictures of others on the site that have decorated their egos they are really cute! Buy the bigger set up for you and she will soon be swiping yours!

Ok,
Now I'm going in circles and second guessing myself....
to get....

Standard Ego (650 mah)
Ego-C (650, 900, etc)
Riva Ego SE (750 mAh)
Kgo (650, 1100)

Or build around a 1000 Ego-T USB passthrough...

Having hard time Justifying EGO-C prices against Riva and kGo.....
Not to worried about the wife, think she'l be fine with a Pink kGo or eGo.... :)

Need to decide soon, don't wanna charge these Dang Blu's Three to four times again/day anymore !!!!
