I am back for more advice! My first thread here had a bunch of friendly people giving a noob some good advice on batteries and delivery systems, now I return for some juice advice.

I went with a vanilla flavor (50/50 VG/PG from altsmoke) for my first juice and while it's good, I'm finding that it's too sweet for an all day every day juice. It's almost like I'm eating cake for every single meal for the last week and you can see how that can get tiresome. I figure, since as candy and fruits go I've always preferred tart to sweet, I should find myself a couple of juices that are less sweet and maybe more tart and tangy. Once again budget is a concern as I can't buy 100 samples and try them all out so I come for advice for flavors. I prefer a single site so I can buy 3-5 6ml(ish) bottles to try out. Just from how often I vape I think maybe a refreshing beverage-esque flavor would be appropriate for an all day vape. Or maybe even a unique tobacco flavor (no idea where to even start on that).

Throat hit is a big thing for me so I think a pg/vg mix is preferable (unless you can explain otherwise) either a 50/50 or a 70/30(pg/vg) ratio probably.

Any help as always, is quite appreciated :).

PS - A few sites I've looked at are juicyvapor.com, bombayvaping.com, sweet-vapes.com and aveliquid.com.
Some flavor's I've pondered have been black currant, blackberry, cherry limeade, ectoplasma, and redbull clone flavors (always found redbull to be a refreshing carbonated beverage for some reason. Never liked monster though.)

You could always check out ECBlend E-Liquids - Something Better. They have a wide variety of flavors, most are quite tasty and they are wonderfully priced. A great place to grab 5ml samples ($2.50/5ml) and pinpoint some that you are privy to. You can also specify your ratio, to figure out what your preference is with that. Good luck!

If you order from ECBlend, I recommend ordering extra flavor or even double-extra flavor. I've found some of their juices to have muted flavors and really benefit from some extra flavoring. My favorites from them are Dragon's Blood (DXF), Ry4 (XF) and Caramel Cappuccino (DXF), all in 18mg 70PG/30PG ratio. (I don't know why, but the Caramel Capp in 18mg gives a much stronger throat hit than the Dragon's Blood or Ry 4 do in the same nic level.)

The important thing for throat hit is nicotine. I ordered some juices from ECB (and others) in 12mg, and just don't get the throat hit I need from them. I need 18mg and sometimes like 24mg. In fact, I recommend trying a sample or two of 24mg to see if it's too much. If you like the flavor but it's too high in nic level, you can always order another bottle in a lower nic level and mix them to average out the nic level.

As always, your taste may (and probably does) differ from mine. You may hate my favorite juice, and vice versa. So take that into consideration. Order small sample bottles only.

+1 for ECBlends, they also have a create your own section. With all their flavors you can customize with extra flavor, double extra flavor, menthol, cool hit, extra menthol, pick your own pg/vg ratios and fairly cheaply for the customization. I love their dragon's blood with double extra flavor, and am getting ready to hit the create your own for a strawberry mango with a cool hit menthol.

FWIW, those were among my favorites from ECBlend. I also think they have one of the best RY4s, IMO, around!

Thanks for the fast replies! ECBlend seems to come very highly reccomended, so I will give them a shot first! Going to go with 5 5ml sample sizes, 18mg of nicotine (my girlfriend had a 24 mg from alt smoke that was a bit too strong imo, i've had 18mg and i seem to like that). Going with 3 70/30 pg/vg mixes, and 2 60/40's.

Trying out these flavors (all at extra flavor as per reccomendations here and in comments):

Red energy
Black and blue berry
Lime (was tempted to go with add sour)
Tobacco blend
Fox mocha nut

Kind of went with a flavor from each "category" so to speak, see which types I like best.

I'll keep you guys posted, and again, thank you so much for the quick replies!

Seriously not to knock ECBlends cause I'm sure they have some good juices, but the ones I got were less than good. I tried several different tobacco flavored juices (9) and was not impressed at all. (that's being nice)
So please let us know if you have any luck with them.
I've actually found the best results with a local vendor here in OKC called the vapor hut.
All of their juices are grade A stuff!
And stuff from AVE juices are my favorite. Boba's Bounty and Gorilla Juice. Exquisite!

I definitely will let you know if these are good. Me and my girlfriend both ordered 5 5ml sample bottles of flavors we think we would like and had good reviews. I also definitely plan to give boba's bounty a shot at some point. Seems to be an "absolutely love it" or "absolutely hate it" type juice. Haven't really tried any tobacco juices yet so I'm curious about the one I ordered here. Out of curiosity, is boba's really as thick as everyone claims? I mean, will it do well in a single coil boge 510 LR cartomizer or will it not even soak into the material and move down as I vape? I only ask because I don't have a tank yet (plan to get a j-tank when I make some more diablo 3 money off the real money auction house).

You should look for a local vapor club meet. They always have tons of flavors to try for free.

I've actually thought about this, the community has been great and I couldn't imagine anyone making a noob feel uncomfortable. I mean, we all came to vaping with the same goal, get off analogs. I'll need to do some research for NYC or specific Brooklyn, NY meets.

Oh yeah, it's thick as molasses!
Yes it will work on cartos but it takes a little longer to soak in. I would suggest leaving about a 30 min window before vaping on the initial fill. Topping off is about the same experience for me, as any other juice, but the initial soak will take a little bit. I usually use the condom method of feeling my carts and then walk off and come back later. A little annoying, but WELL worth it. Imho.

My package of Juice just came in the Mail today. I'm vaping the Fox mocha nut at the moment and letting the others steep (they were crystal clear when they came). The fox mocha nut is great, tastes just like a hazel nut cappuccino. They even sent me a free sample bottle of the TKO and it smells fantastic, really looking forward to vaping that. Blue raspberry sweet tarts are my favorite, smells exactly like it.

Fast shipping, Friendly service, even a steeping recommendation for the two tobacco flavors on the shipping slip! As far as getting the product out, as advertized with great service, ECBlends gets an A+ in my book. Once I've steeped all the flavors and given them a fair shake I will chime in on them all.

With my experiance I have to steep mine for about 2 weeks more if over 5 mls but I ike vg and sweet flavors and get extra flavor because I just quit about a month ago so my taste buds are shot but I found that makes my juices 10times better It's all about your taste though if you don't like it at first steep it then try it again that always works for me and I always start off with 5mls so it doesn't hurt the wallet. Hope that helps:eek:)

Alright I've tried all but two flavors so far. I'm letting them steep a big longer because they still don't smell quite right to me, and the other do after steeping. Here's my thoughts on the flavors

Red energy - Tastes NOTHING like red bull but it's still good. It tastes like a sour grape Jolly rancher but very very light even with extra flavor. I would recommend double extra for this one is sour grape jolly rancher interests you.

Black and blue berry - Also good but tastes very little like the flavors listed. Also a bit light on flavor with the extra flavor but less so than red energy. Tastes more like a blue raspberry-blueberry mix than blackberry. Still tasty, less sour tasting than the red energy.

Lime - I should have went with extra sour on this one (I like sour candy, can you tell?). I like it but I was a bit disappointed. I do like what it tastes like, and that is a Green Haribo gummy bear. If you love the green Haribo's, this flavor is for you. Extra flavor is perfect (not too much, not too light). It's tasty but If you're looking for a sour lime, add sour. Haribo is my favorite gummy bear company, but green is my least favorite (Clear pineapple and orange ftw!).

Fox mocha nut - This smelled fantastic emanating with a coffee hazelnut scent. The first few pulls from this were enjoyable but then it was all down hill. The mocha nut is far too overpowering and the taste becomes this sour (in a bad way, think milk) overpowering, stinging throat hit rather than satisfying. If you're looking to quit vaping all together as well. Use this one. I can't recommend this one, even after a week and a half of steeping it's still awful for me. I can't wait to boil this carto and get a different liquid into it.

Tobacco blend - Still steeping, the smell has become better over the days but Haven't vaped it.

TKO - They gave me a free sample of this one to try. It's still steeping, smell has only become better and less perfumy, but I want to give it another day or two.

Dragon Fruit - My girlfriend picked this one up and it is fantastic. Extra flavor is SLIGHTLY light, but i wouldn't double it. I would however add a bit of sour, but this one might be my favorite of the bunch so far.

Black Magic Tobacco - My girlfriend LOVES this one, I HATE this one. It was her flavor and IMO she probably should be steeping this for longer because ick. She loves it as is though so, good for her but for me, yuck.

Chai tea - Girlfriends flavor as well. She loves chai, I don't. If you like chai, you will probably love this one.

Overall ECBlends is a great vendor. Fast and friendly service. A free sample of a flavor which is really considerate. I have to give these guys a thumbs up, but will mention that almost ALL of their flavors needed steeping. Not a negative just a heads up to any looking to try this. After a week and a half of steeping the colors didn't deepen though, but the flavors became better. Most of the flavors are almost completely clear in color. Fox mocha nut, tobacco blend, black magic were all slightly yellow/amber but didn't deepen with time. I've been judging these by smell and flavor rather than color.

PS. I read nothing but rave reviews for boba's bounty so, I went and picked up a 12 ml (6ml price is a bit too high, 12 is a better deal). It came today and even though it took 35 minutes and the condom fill method for it to soak in, I love it. Thick as all hell and it will probably kill my carto's but I DEFINITELY need to get myself a j-tank for these to keep my carto's soaked. I couldn't begin to guess flavor other than it's the best smelling and tasting tobacco flavor I've tried yet. Thanks for the advice guys!

Again, all ECBlends samples I tried were extra flavor, 70/30 pg/vg (with 2 60/40 pg/vg no real difference except viscosity) 18mg of nicotine.

Any other vendors to recommend feel free but ECBlends will have a customer in me and my girlfriend. Just need to find those flavors you love. Can't beat the price and service.

PSS: I reccomend this for listening while vaping boba's =) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=baRCq3twqww

UPDATE: Tried the TKO - One issue. The free sample they gave me is nicotine free, no throat hit. Flavor is solid, a bit light (would go double extra flavor) but I can't really enjoy the vape without my throat hit and the nicotine. A shame, seems like a solid vape.
