Another NOOB question

DO you generally run your batteries completely dead? And if so, how do you know when they need charged. I am a firm believer that batteries develop a memory to them. I received my Ego kit yesterday, two complete assemblies, and have been going back and forth between the 2 for over 24 hours, both the wife and I, and don`t seem to have a low battery yet.

To make it simple......will I know when it`s time to charge my batts?

TIA

People will say it's best NOT to let them run completely down. That being said, I have on occassion let mine do that. I try to recharge mine about every 4-6 hours, but I vape non-stop. I got a passthru to use will I'm near a power source so that has cut back on my batt use. But as a rule of thumb try to charge them before they go dead. So use one half a day then switch, easy enough :)

Thanks for the quick reply. I guess I`ll do a little chain vaping here, and then throw it on the charger. I`d hate to lose both at the same time, which is a real possibility.

Another question, one of them stopped delivering a good TH last night. I figured it was a flooded atty, so I blew it out, and let it sit overnight. It didn`t help. This is a brand new atty of of yesterday. It is still producing vapor, just not the same TH as the other one when set up identically, and it did yesterday.

If you suggest "dry burn" please be specific to a 510 as I`m really new, and am afaid of frying the atty.

Thanks Again

A dry burn shouldn't be necessary for at least a week or two and that's with heavy use. It's for removing burnt up residue on the atomizer that tastes like very burnt toast. I have no idea why the same liquid on the same atomizer would drop in TH, unless it's because the battery is getting low and the atomizer isn't heating up as much as it was before.

attys suck, that being said-

blow atty from battery end
prime atty by putting @two drops of juice directly on the bridge of the atty (that silver piece)
dry atty will have burnt taste, wet attys make gurgling noise or hard inhale, clogged feeling
some attys need the holy rest for a few hours or day, then work again, big mystery but seems to be true, maybe getting too hot
your attys are brand new, so you shouldn't have any problem yet
I switch attys @ every 2 weeks
both attys that came with original kit, dead after 6 weeks
Get more attys. I see tastyvapor has them for $4, which is a good price

good luck

The ego has a built in cutoff that will prevent you from over discharging. Go ahead and vape till the light flashes and it will not work and then put it on the charger. BUT..your firm belief or not, lithium ion batteries are NOT like NiCd batteries. They absolutely do not develop a memory. Those days are long, long gone. You can throw it on the charger any time you like and you can pull it off before it's done and you will absolutely not change their charge or discharge capacities or characteristics.

Same thing with your cell phones and the like. I race R/C cars very competitively and we push battery technology to the limits all the time. In fact, many manufacturers say that we are their toughest customers because we demand everything a battery will give. If there is a way to get more from a cell, we will do it and in the Nicad days, we did all the stuff to prevent memory, but believe me those days are gone.

Ok, sorry, I'll step off my soap box now.
