Hi all

I expect that these have been answered elsewhere and I have tried to read through a lot of the threads to find answers and have found quite a bit of info but unfortunately still a little confused.

However, is this summary right:

I need a starter set (2 batteries) plus spare atomiser and liquid.

OK, if that is right, here are the questions:

1. If I buy a starter set, can I use the liquid on the carts that come with that or do you need special refill type carts?

2. What is the difference between a black mini 901 and 901S? So far, all I can see is that there is a slight difference in cost but perhaps someone can shed a bit of light on this.

3. I love the smell and taste of vanilla - has anyone tried that one (or can you point me in the direction of a thread where it is discussed?)

Thanks for any info. I want to get my paws on one of these asap as I travel a lot and am fed up with non-smoking hotel rooms.

:)

Hi Bear, welcome to the forum.

It's best to get a starter kit - two batteries, an atomiser, charger and some cartridges; plus at least an extra atomiser and some juice to start off.

The cartridges that come with the kit are fine for refilling, they are the same as blanks except they already have some juice in them.

The difference in 901s is the colour, they are interchangeable.

I don't know about vanilla discussions but if it helps I think Janty vanilla is nice.

Hi Kate

Thank you for your answers - that was exactly what I needed!

Not sure I am overly concerned about interchangeable colours (yet) so I expect a 901 will do just fine.

I will give the vanilla a try. Let's face it, at the cost of cigs, I expect if this goes as well for me as a lot of the others on here then I will have a bit of extra cash to try different ones as I go along.

If you take to esmoking, which you probably will, you'll have a field day with all the flavours. There are loads of yummy ones to find.

I'm sorry, I think I wasn't clear about the 901, when I wrote 901s I meant 901 plural. A 901 is the same basically as a 901b or 901p. B is for black, p is for pink and the original is white. The different colours can be swapped around as you like.

As far as I know there isn't a 901s, although that could be a brown colour maybe ;)

I found the vanilla rather balnd, both the one from Janty and the one from Puresmoker (I am in the US). I mainly use it to "cut" stronger flavors and remove the previous flavor from the atomizer (if strong). I would advice that you start with a few flavors. I have a penstyle, so cannot advice on the 901.

Kate, I was looking at a site so they may have 901s as 901S and I may have confused that, but there is a difference in the price (very little). I will just go with the 901. I am hoping it will be the first along this line of 'peaceful' smoking :)

My friends know that I am looking to get an ecig and are looking forward to it - not because of the cig smoke, just cos they are curious, want to take it apart and study it, and are looking forward to having me full time in the pubs again (I know one of our pubs allow it)

Bertrand, Yuk, but I would have to change the light bulb if red dwarf went to red alert.....;)

Yes, you can smoke in some bars, but more and more places are banning the use of ANY tobacco products (including smokeless) even outside (such as university campuses).

The vanilla is OK (and TW gets really good review). Get also something else, is my advice, so that you can mix. I have a number of flavors I don't like alone, for one reason or other, but combined they are good....

NC was my last bastion of freedom. I have noticed over the years that it is becoming less acceptable and was really annoyed when they stopped it at the airport I use. Used to be a fun at the bar. With any luck, we will have a load of ecig smokers around there in the fullness of time and will get back to that jovial atmosphere - even during delays!

I can't think of what would go with vanilla....any thoughts? Thanks
