Hello guys,

I tried miximg some of my liquid with the Loranns flavors tonight and I could not do it....

I have tried using a "tobacco" flavored juice - 18mg and adding 10-15% Loranns flavoring to that and it just stays the same...

Probably because the so called "tobacco" juice is too sweet...which I actually like...but...whatever I try the taste, smell ...flavor stays the same as the original juice...

My question is...Should I only use UNflavored Juice when doing this ?

I thought that it might work with pre-flavored juice but no luck up to now...

Help me pleaase :confused:8-o

E-liquids have a saturation level and the tobacco flavoured might not absorb much more flavouring. Also the flavour could be too strong for your Lorann to have any effect. Try something like ECOpure Fresh which has minimal ingredients and will accept flavouring or TW unflavoured - I added some Peppermint to some ECO and it was lovely.

Hope you don't mind if I piggy back on your thread here. I don't yet have enough posts to start my own thread and there's a question that I have also.

I like a sweet taste. Is there anyway to make a DIY that is sweet tasting. I am getting the flavor, but there is no associated sweetness.

Any ideas?

Btw, or fyi, I did get some Johnson Creek Original as a sample with my starter kit and it had a sweet taste. So...I know it's possible, but how?

I thought that the glycerine would provide the sweetness, but it's not.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions offered.

I was just thinking...

I wonder if "high fructose corn syrup" is used for the sweetness? It isn't exactly a sugar is it, and it is thin as water (from what I have seen of it on TV anyway).

Now, I'm thinking glucose, sucrose... hmmm... those sweeteners, I think, can be gotten in the low sugar (diabetic) aisle at the grocery store.

hmmm...

People around here say to avoid any sugar in your juice because it will caramelize on your atomizers' coil.

Right you are, indeed. I knew that, but I also know that there are sweet tasting e juices out there, and they aren't that way due to the PG, VG or nicotine ingredients (nor due to the LorAnn's flavorings that I have tried).

I have been doing a little reading about the different "croses" i.e sucrose, glucose, fructose...

Nothing definitive yet...

Just trying to find out what it is so that I can please my taste buds and keep my atomizer happy too.

Thanks for mentioning that about the sugars and atomizers. Some may not have known this and could have killed an atomizer.

I was some kind of generic stuff in packets but I found some cool sweetener tablets I got from Germany a year ago and they dissolve completely and no bad aftertaste. :) Sorry can't read the ingredients - my German is not that good.

I tried dissolving in PG and VG but that didn't work. Water soluble. I only need a drop or two of my 'sweet water' in a cart and I am good to go. :D

I don't have any of this any more since I gave up artificial sweeteners, but I used to use it:

Sweetzfree no calorie sweetener

It's pure sucralose, aka Splenda, but without the fillers they add to make the powder packets. It's VERY strong. One drop would more than sweeten a mug of coffee, so be careful with it if you try it.

EDIT: Just to be clear, I never vaped it, so I have no idea how it works in juice. It's a clear liquid.

Yes, the artificial sweeteners do offer their concerns, that's for sure.

I looked at the site you posted and for some reason it made me think of Xylitol. Ever use any of that? It comes in a liquid too.

Now off to investigate some new avenues in this "sweet" journey.

Thank you so much for your input; it has really been helpful.

I never use anything ending in 'tol' i.e. xylitol, maltitol. They don't agree with me.

It looks like the German stuff is Saccharin based. At least that is a word I recognize. There's 1200 tablets in the little bottle - I will probably never run out. I made 4ml using 4 tablets and I'll store it in the fridge and it will probably go bad before I use it all. I could make a batch and then add VG and see if it is sweeter - dunno. I'm happy with this for sure. It really did not take much to sweeten the vapor. I think if it's too sweet - well you might as well go get a piece of candy to suck on while you vape then.

Next I'll have to determine if it is fouling up the atomizers. I don't think it will but we'll see.

Yeah, those are the sugar alcohols. LOL, I didn't know that until today though!

I think I am going to try the Xylitol. I have some (powder) that I keep around for those who won't do cane sugar. Check wikipedia out... looks like it could provide more than just sweetness. I may even start using it instead of the good ol' trustworthy cane sugar in my coffee.
