Another OT: Rose in the rain

Well, our 2 day summer was over today! Warm Temps and Sun were replaced with cool temps and RAIN!

Out of sheer boredom and the need to do something creative, I rushed outside during a major rainstorm to grab One Photo before I got drenched and without ruining my camera. As I started to do my editing of the photo I decided to change it from a color photo to a Black and White photo. I think that one photo turned out rather nicely.

Great shot GPR. Sometimes the photo asks to be in B&W. It takes an artistic ear to hear it ;-)

This photo was a rushed photo because it was absolutely pouring down rain! I grabbed my camera, rushed outside, knelt down to the level of the rose, adjusted the settings to what I thought the camera needed, focused and clicked the shutter. Then I rushed back inside, dried off the camera, changed my WET Clothes and sat down to edit the photo.

The Only editing I did was to change it to Black and white and then I had to shrink the size down to be able to use it on photo hosting sites. What you see is what the camera and I saw!

Love it! I am a photog too... actually I wonder... would anyone else think a Photo thread would be used... It could be for any type of photos "safe for work ofcourse" but just something for everyone to post something they like?!?
