Boge 510 and KR808D-1 cartos last me about an hour each when I vape almost constantly.

I don't get this statement at all (but I am a one week newbie) - I was a pack a day smoker and the KR808D-1 cartos are lasting me two days. They are the WOW carts from V4L in 24 mg. I do have asthma and my lungs can't handle heavy hits though so I have taken very shallow drags of analogs for years now and am doing the same with vaping. Unsure if it is the high nicotine content or my style of "smoking". Also, mine never get hot or taste burnt.

I've never used the WOW cartos. The 808 cartos I use are called KR808D-1 Premium cartomizers and are from litecigusa.net. Each will hold about 25 to 30 drops, and maybe more for those who like to put as much as they can into a carto, thus, overfilling it and then having to blow out the excess liquid in order to eliminate the hard draws.

I don't vape a carto completely dry. I vape a lot. That means I'm sometimes vaping 3 or 4 times each minute, sometimes twice a minute, sometimes two vapes every two minutes, but it's a lot, and that's why I'll go through one carto about every hour. When the vapor and flavor get low enough, I can tell that I need to replace the almost-empty carto with another carto that's been refilled the day before.

If one carto lasts you for two days without having to refill it, then you're not vaping very much. My estimate, and this is just a quick estimate, each carto that's not vaped completely dry, but about 1/2 dry (which is what I do), will last for about 100 drags -- and 200 drags if you vape the carto until you get a burnt taste.

I go through about 12 cartos each day, which for me, is about 6mL of liquid each day. When I refill a carto, it takes about 1/2 mL. When I fill a new carto, it takes about 1 mL. I choose not to vape a carto when it gets down to about 1/2 mL left inside the filler.

Does any of this make more sense?

You're probably not getting this because you are taking short hits. What usually happens when the carto is about used up is the flavor starts fading. If you don't notice it right away, the tendency is to hold the button longer to try and get more vapor. Without enough juice in there, that will start to burn the filling.

You also mention you were smoking Mores so you wouldn't have them burn up in the ashtray. So you probably weren't actually smoking your analogs fully non-stop. By taking short hits and setting the PV down a while between them, you probably do get a lot longer time out of a carto than others might. That "break" between vapes gives the carto a little extra time to wick more fluid. With your habit, you won't start getting an off-taste until that sucker is about bone dry.

Boge Cartomizers, Kr cartos, and CE2's all perform very well and all available at mad vapes, you cant go wrong

Boge 510 and KR808D-1 cartos are also available at litecigusa.net (in Pennsylvania) and are cheaper than madvapes.com. They are about the cheapest I've found, and the shipping fee is only $2 for orders under $75

Sorry to sound dingy. But I have the ego and am trying to get more cartos, would like long lasting ones for when I am away from home, and there are so many cartos out there. Does the Boge, KR808d, CE2 all work with the ego? I guess it would be easier to tell me which ones wont work with the ego without adapters...lol

I still have so much to learn. I started with the cheapo from 7-11 last Thurs. then got my ego on Monday (loving it) have only had about 1 1/2 analogs a day since. Hoping to find a good juice so I can stay completely off analogs, but I dont have a juice with enough nicotine I think.

If you are trying to switch completely to vaping, I would suggest you start with 24mg nicotine strength liquid. Most new vapers start out with nic strength that is too low to make the switch. If you don't mind the extra length, the 801 cartos last much longer than the 510 cartos. The 510 to 801 adapter to make it work only cost $2.50 from MadVapes.com and just screws in where you screw in the atomizer. Other suppliers sell them also.

Goodprophets.com has all the adapters for only 99 cents each. That's the lowest price anywhere, and their adapters work fine.

I started with 18mg, it was perfect. I tried 30mg and then 24mg, and it was too much nicotine. I went back to 18mg, and it was perfect. Many people do the same thing and end up at 18mg.

I suspect that heavy vapers can get by with lower nic levels than light vapers. I don't know if most people continue with vaping like they smoked cigarettes. Personally, I smoked one after the other when not working and at least two an hour when working. Now I vape pretty much all the time when not working and 7 or 8 minutes every hour when working. I still have a bag full of KR808D-1's, prefilled, from V4L. They don't last me much time at all. I've pretty much switched over to C-E2 XL's. These seem to be quite sensitive to juice viscosity. Most my "off the rack" juice is 50/50 mix. It's pretty easy for me to overvape the wicking ability of the E2's. So, I cut my juice with PGA. Went too far at first, makes for a very hot vape. Using distilled water more now to cut my 50/50 mix so it wicks better. Even at that, I usually load up two Riva's w/E2 XL's and alternate tween the two to allow things to cool down and wick to catch up. That's why God makes um in different colors. . .so you know which is what. I call this my otrpu VOLLEY. JMHO

Cheers,
otrpu

Any carto with 510 threads will work with the eGo, without using adapters. The KR808D-1 cartos would need the 510-battery to 808/901-atty adapter. The Boge 510 cartos are very popular and work well.

Any carto with threads other than 510 will not work with the eGo.

Have fun!

Are the Boge 510 cartos soft tip and easy to refill by just dripping from the mouth part? I'm not liking the eGO cartos, removing 2 hard plastic pieces, then using a syringe to fill the little tube inside, all that is for the birds. Wanted to find a 510 carto that is as easy to fill by just dripping from the top after removing the soft tip at the mouth end.

Yes, the Boge 510 cartos have the soft white mouth rubber cap plug or tip (this is called different names at times...) :) They're easy to refill by dripping into the filler after removing the soft tip. I've been using them for almost two months and have been more than satisfied with them, unlike the way I feel about the plastic eGo mega cartos that I tried with the bland taste (and the 510 cartos that I haven't bought before that are also plastic and harder to refill than the Boge).

Thanks for all the help!:) I ordered the Boge cartos and some more juice with higher nic last night.

I am only at about 1-2 analogs per day, but hopefully get off them totally! I never thought I would be able to quit but with the pv I think it is a great possibility.

But only one thing.... I vape more than I smoked..lol
