Hello everyone!
My husband and i have smoked for years and years and finally decided to give it up about a month ago when we bought our ego-ts from a local vendor. (little vape store that popped up in our town.) It was the first time we'd seen the things up close (other than the gas station ones, that no one we knew had ever tried and asumed didn't work.) He let us test them out and only had 4 models to choose from all from the joyetech family i'm assuming. I've done tons of internet research post purchase, but only after finding out the hard way about several issues.
We quit smoking. That's the first thing. We stopped the day we got them. We had 5 cigs left between us and after that day commited and we did it. However, i have a lot of questions maybe some of you could help us with.
I got the little skinny one that is a drip type design. (i don't really like the feel of cartomizers, nor the earth footprint of something thrown away after one use.) I really enjoy changing up my flavors and filling my mouthpeice/tank (sorry if i get these terms wrong.) I went through an atomizer in a week, it just stopped producing vape/hard pull drag/tasted nasty burnt. I did the whole cleaning methods i found online to no avail, it just wasn't going to produce like it did when i first got it, so i replaced it, the second one worked great for about 4 days, now i have to do puffs without holding the button so that it's not a "dry" plasticy tasting hit. I've learned to deal with it, however, if i have to buy these things once a week i'd like to have options. My atomizer looks different than the replacement options i've seen online. Maybe someone can clarify what i have and need to get to replace it. Mine looks like a needle and wick style just like my husband's larger ego-t cone shape atomizer, but all the small one's i've seen that "LOOK" like mine have this weird "bridge" thing in them. which is not what mine is. What do i need to be looking for to replace this? The local vender gave us the vaguest details about our products (prolly cause he didn't want us to shop around). But he swore atomizers lasted 2-3 months and that's a flat lie for mine. My hubby's larger one (the middle size he carried) lasted nearly 3 weeks before giving out so he's happy with only replacing his once every 3 weeks and we easily see his available on several websites for cheap.
Also, we encouraged another friend to get one, he got the "largest" size one the guy had which also said ego-t on the handle but was longer than my hubby's. (the battery that is) His leaked really bad from the word go, even after changing atomizers, it leaked still but not as bad but his battery popped and started melting on the charger, which of course made us feel horrible for encouraging him to get one, but also made us terrified to charge our batteries out of site (which is kinda annoying since we share a charger.) That being said the guy did replace our friends entire kit, but his knew kit we fear is a knock off because his old battery "button" was diveted in like my hubby's the new one is raised and blinks purple when you cut it off and on. So my question is are there any "leak" tricks that help or any not exploding on the charger tips to avoid lol.
Over all we are happy (especially since we just learned of mixing our own juices.) Any newbie tips will be most appreciated though!
