Another shady website

The link says you must create an account to reply.. So I make an account.. Then the same exact thread says that it is not open for replies. Just another ....... website trying to get your email address by lieing to you.

If you're referring to ECF, this is a wonderful site full of kind and helpful people. I have no problem with them having my email address!
Im pretty sure that threads are closed after a few months without posts so you may have stumbled on an old, inactive thread

Negative. We did away with that requirement eons ago.

Threads are usually closed automatically after 90 days of inactivity. Currently, the add on is broken, but should be fixed soon.

Oh, and considering ECF has been around for nearly a decade, I'd hardly call it "shady". May want to do your research before claiming something that's not true.
