In order to steep e-liquid, do they have to be uncapped for a couple days? Or does just letting them sit unopened also allow for steeping? THe reason I ask is, if I want to give a gift of e-liquid to someone, I am sure they would prefer the seal is still on the bottle. However, I would like the full steeped flavor to shine through for them.

While shaking and setting will Help the Flavors Meld. If there is no Room for the juice to move in a sealed container it might not work...While time wil "settle" the mix again if there is no air in the container it will basically be stagnant...I would break the sea, shake re-cap and put a sticker on it if you are worried about it...Unless you have a Jewerly cleaner, and even then I would think air would be needed to break the tention of being in a vacum...

Angiebubs, since only the original line contains organic ethyl alcohol, only those flavors benefit from uncapped steeping. The uncapping is purely to allow evaporation of the alcohol. Since the Absolute line contains no alcohol (except for the tobacco!) and therefore no evaporation is needed. They will steep nicely in the bottles. I think ALL e-liquids benefit from shaking them from time to time, and definitely before filling your device. :)
