This forum has gotten so bad lately. I know I don't have many post. But I have been here a long time as you can see. I have been e-smoking before a lot of you knew what it was. I have just been trying to gain knowledge instead of opening my mouth about stupid things. Which I wish many others would do. There is so much knowledge here. But its getting harder and harder to hear. We are a community, we should be helping eachother. Who cares what people charge, don't buy it. I don't think you need to start a whole thread on why you wouldn't buy it. Just my thoughts.

good point thats why i mostly stick to my social group

I agree. I dont think i have sold any of my products to anyone on this forum, yet i have sold loads/a few on my social network site. This forum has its good times and had a lot more when it was smaller. Now i just follow it from time to time with the old guys i knew in the early days.

Its nice to see some of them are still here....also that their ban has been lifted lol lol .... Love you Kate :)

Everyone's on edge because the forces are arrayed against our industry, and both consumers and suppliers are feeling the pressure....

This is how seiges in the past were so successful....just sit outside the gates, stop supplies of food and material, and wait for those inside to tear each other apart.....

Stop splintering apart and show some basic human considerations to your fellow captives......

Keep your private greivances private.....and TRY to see the other side of the story...

Its funny I get excited reading about new things coming out for us. Whether I could buy them or not. Its nice to dream. I use to come on here every day, excited to see what happened or what someone tried or what they thought of the e-cig I have been dyeing to try but can't afford at this time. Now I come on the forum and leave disappointed or mad from peoples comments. Yeah I know just don't read them. But its hard when they make up like 80 percent of everything on here.

I hate to see the frustration among the senior members grow. I started visiting these forums last December after seeing a short news story and a quick google search on esmoking. I read post after post by a group of really informative and friendly folks. I really liked the atmosphere of this place. I NEVER join forums, I NEVER socialize online but I kept feeling more and more connected to this group and after sinking a considerable amount of money and time into these products I decided to join because I thought I would add some experience to the collective. Since then I have seen the civility and cadence of the place change. There seem to be a lot of rants, complaints, wheels-off opinions, half thoughts, unrealistic expectations & attacks. It's too bad really and I miss the posts from the people that drew me to the forum in the first place.

I haven't been here that long, but the threads that I can't abide are the ones in which customers raise disputes with suppliers.

Frankly I can do without those. Perhaps suppliers' forums should not relay absolutely everything into the general discussion.
EDIT - It's prolly my fault for reading from Today's posts. However there seems to be a gigantic consumer whinge river which spills over into the general discussionEND EDIT.

If I want to see how a firm is doing with customer feedback I could go and look in the firm's forum, without having to read what look like malicious complaints, perhaps even launched by competitors.

Oh well...

C.

The froum has changed since Novemer 2008, we have more people that drop in and start arguments and such. I think we should continue to qusetion the different aspects of the e-cig. I also feel that we need to have more relevent discussions and not rants.

Kate and Tropical Bob where here when I came and I respect them for all the knowledged that have and on a occasion, I do disagree with them, they have never been rude or ugly with me for disagreeing with them they will explain and help me find the answers to questions. Everyone on the forum should follow their example. We are here to help each other not flame each other out.

Perhaps the atmosphere would get better again if both the old members and the 'civilised newbie's' made an effort together to post more instead of less... once those better posts get to be the majority again, it becomes a lot easier to ignore the nasty threads... and if we really ignore those, not answering, not discussing... then those posters will quite soon stop, seeing they then are not getting what they intend to get. As to that, all members from new to old could do with some self-discipline as to not feed the trolls and bashers, I think.
