Hi all

Just tried the Vanilla tobacco. This one is a pg/vg mix in 18mg/ml.

I love this stuff...this for me is an "all day vape". Smooth mild tobacco with a slight sweetness and hint of vanilla. The liquid itself is transparent with a slight light brown cast to it....clean and crisp like the other flavors I have tried.

And they DID add a "flavor boost" option to the menu! Right now 5 3ml bottles are $5.50....I highly encourage you to give them a try.

btw....The 510 cartomizers are excellent!! I bought them because they were cheap but these cartos are really nice. Moderate ohm rating (under3 but over 2.5) and they have a unique design feature I have never seen...although at first glance they look like stock verticle wire running up through the filling cartos...they are not....what you don't see is that there is also a verticle wick made of the same material the wick in an atomizer is made of, running the entire length of the carto and the heating coil is wrapped around this wick. No paper "diapers" etc. Ay $6.95 a five pack you can't lose. (they are in the process of looking for a new KR8 carto supplier...I havn't tried their KR's yet)

I've been wanting to try 510 carto's for a while now, but I'd previously seen them for closer to $10 for a 5 pack. Also seemed liked getting good quality blanks was a problem.

Well this was all I needed to hear. Just ordered some carto's and a juice sampler pack. I got Vanilla Tobacco, Captain Jack's, Blue Raspberry, Strawberry, and Mt. Doo.

Their juice prices are very competitive too. Even though they don't sell in bottles over 15ml, it works out to around $14 for 30ml and $7 for the 5x3ml sample pack. Really quite good, I'm surprised I don't see them mentioned around here more.

I shall report back here with some impressions later in the week.

Lorikay13, thanks for posting this. I had never heard of them, but based on your recommendation I ordered some samples last weekend including the vanilla tobacco and cartos. Their prices are outstanding. I also included the Captain Jack flavor and coincidentally someone posted a glowing review of it yesterday. I ordered Saturday evening, they shipped Mon. morning, and it looks like I should get them by tomorrow. I have high hopes, so really looking forward to trying these.

If they are as good as you guys claim, I may be quickly placing another order since I just got an email from them just this morning about their July 4th special (pasted below).
It's almost 4th of July. Figured we save you some money, more to spend on BBQ supplies and fireworks! Just use coupon code "m80" at checkout for 20% off! Good through 7/5!

I'm so glad to see some action here! My experience with Ross so far is that he is really easy to deal with and genuinely interested in making the best store possible. He is open to suggestions and seems pretty thick skinned...which you need to be to put up with us!!! :)

I can't wait to hear about the Capt Black..I havn't tried that one yet so be sure at post a review. The Tob Vanilla is wonderfull. I order 2 bottles of the plain vanilla from the sale...$5 for a 15ml bottle!! heck yeah....i can always through some menthol in it if I really don't like it, LOL. I love the flavor of the week thing.

ANyway....I get the feeling that Ross is willing to make adjustments so if you get a flavor you don't like and you can be specific enough about why then I'm betting he will try and fix it. Kanger XL extended draw batteries are on order. Once they get all the little fixes to the inventory done I can see this being my one stop store...finally!!!!

Thanks Ross!

Thanks to Lori's recommendation I ordered from Vapors Etc at 1:30am last Saturday. Much to my surprise, I received a shipping notice at 11am on Saturday. To my even bigger surprise I received my order on Monday. You can't get any faster than that!!!

Their Blue Raspberry Juice has now become one of my favorites. For the moment I can't seem to get enough of it. The flavor is just what I expected Blue Raspberry to taste like and the vapor is fantastic. As soon as I got notice of the sale I went and purchased 4 more bottles. This time I also got some of their orange to try. I have been hunting for months for a good orange. I actually one that taste more like a tangerine, maybe this will be it.

Great find Lori! Thank you for bringing Vapors Etc into the light!!

Happy Vaping!!

Finally the day has arrived! Got my sample pack and carto's, they even threw in an extra 3mL sample bottle of Pina Colada. Not something I ever would have ordered but it will be interesting to try.

So far I have tried out the Blue Raspberry, Mt. Doo, Capt. Jack, and Vanilla Tobacco.

Blue Raspberry: Just like the icee flavor, strange sensation to be smoking what is normally a frozen drink. I like it though not something I'd vape all day.

Mt. Doo: Didn't pick up on the Mt. Dew aspect so much, mostly lemon/lime though I guess that is a basic summation of what Mt. Dew tastes like. Might need more time to pick up on the nuances, though it definitely doesn't have that "carbonation" some soda flavors do.

Captain Jack: First puff I didn't like, all I tasted was cedar. Took a few more to start getting some of the other flavors. Tastes like the air smells in a walk in humidor.

Vanilla Tobacco: Thought this was Captain Jack and I got confused, definitely the same base. But then after the exhale this sublime vanilla flavor comes in. It's really just Captain Jack with vanilla but that small addition really takes it to the next level.

Now for the carto's themselves I'm not a big fan. These are the first carto's I've ever used so maybe I'm doing something wrong, but leaking or dryness weren't the problem for me. My issue is just plain vapor production and throat hit, as someone used to dripping they just can't compete. I did some direct comparisons with Vanilla Tobacco in a cartomizer vs. atomizer. I found the flavor to actually be better with dripping, one of the few things I thought carto's were supposed to be better for.

I will however use these for long car rides, maybe when I go to class and have to walk all over campus. Good juice Vapors Etc. but I think I'll stick to dripping it!

Cartos definitely have their place...but no..they are not the same as dripping. However....you can actually drip into some cartos using a driptip...I do it all the time. But it still wont taste the same as an atty.

Thanks so much for those reviews! I am totally going to try that Capt Jack. Your description reminds me 100% of the first bottle of Halo Smooth8 I ever got....first off I said...."what the heck is this?!?!?!"......two weeks later I couldn't live without it! Unfortunately I can't afford it any more so I'm real excited to try this one from Vapor Etc.

Funny about the Mt Dew....I don't like Mt Dew anyway so I would never try the e-juice....but I got their Cola and their Cherry Cola and they both have that carbonation feel to them just like the Gingerale did.

But.....here is my latest.....Apple Cinnamon....OMG!...this stuff is great!!! Nice fresh apple flavor with just a touch of cinnamon...not too sweet and the cinnamon is not overpowering at all...which I was afraid of. But I really like this one!!

Well I got home on Wednesday evening all jazzed to try my vanilla tobacco and found out that instead I had received English Tobacco. I was so disappointed and thought they screwed up, but it turns out after I went and checked the order it was all my doing. I had gotten the contents of my cart goofed up at some point, then deleted my sample flavors and redone them. I did it in a hurry the second time around and accidentally switched the Vanilla Tobacco for the English Tobacco. Boy was I ...... at myself. Oh well! Aaaaanyway, I did get the cartos I ordered as well as the following sample flavors: vanilla, root beer, ginger ale, Captain Jack, and English Tobacco, and a lagniappe, consisting of a coconut sample and a nifty little Vapors Etc. pouch for my PV.

I did finally go back on Friday and order the vanilla and the vanilla tobacco in double flavor, along with some more cartos(I tried them and really like them a lot).

Here are my impressions of the flavors so far:
vanilla - I liked both the taste and aroma, which is why I ordered it again. It was just a little too subtle for my taste, however, which is why I requested the flavor boost this time.
coconut - I thought the aroma and taste hit the mark, with the exception that I expected at least a hint of sweetness and didn't detect any. In my experience, coconut usually has at least a little sweetness to it.
root beer - I like root beer and thought the aroma and taste were very accurate, like gourmet old-fashioned root beer. It has bit of sweetness to it but I could have gone for just a tad more.
ginger ale - I really had high hopes for this one since I'm a big fan of both ginger tea and ginger ale. I thought the aroma and taste were on the mark, but a bit too weak for my taste, Admittedly I like my ginger much stronger than most. I also expected a little sweetness(like ginger ale) and didn't taste any at all. I might be tempted to try this in the future if I could get it with double flavor and some sort of sweetener.
captain jack - I never tried Captain Black back in the days when I smoked a pipe and so I had no idea what to expect. I got this because someone on ECF raved about it. The aroma was very familiar from my old pipe smoking days. Probably I never tried it because I didn't care for the smell at the time. I really didn't like the aroma or flavor the first couple of times I tried it, it was so different from anything I've ever smoked(or vaped). By the third time I got accustomed enough to get past the aroma and realized it has a very nice mild smooth unmistakeably tobacco flavor, with just a little sweetness. Really nice. I was vaping it as I wrote this. It has a strangely cool, refreshing quality reminiscent of menthol, but without the taste of menthol, if that makes any sense. I'm really starting to dig this and already regretting not having ordered more. I definitely wouldn't do flavor boost on this as I think some of the subtlety might be lost.
english tobacco - Again, I really had no idea what to expect(got this by accident). The aroma was also somewhat familiar from my pipe smoking days. I find it similar in some ways to the Captain Jack, but also quite a bit different. The aroma and flavor are also smooth and mild, and I can taste the tobacco, but I don't find it as refreshing. It also isn't growing on me as much, and I still don't care for the aroma. It reminds me of the sort of almost perfumy scent of my grandmother's house when I was a kid, and I couldn't help thinking of mothballs. I think this one just isn't my cup of tea, although I'm sure some people will like it. After a few more attempts I came to appreciate the flavor more, but still can't get past the aroma.. I'm guessing some of the folks who like the Captain Jack might also like this.

One surprising thing I noticed with the English Tobacco is that this flavor was much better when I dripped it than it was when I tried it in a cartomizer. The vapor with the cartomizer was excellent, but warmer, which I normally like better, but oddly not in this case. It tastes much better to me when the vapor is cooler. I didn't try the Captain Jack in a carto but I suspect I would find the same thing with that flavor as well. This is something I'll need to pay closer attention to in general with flavors going forward.

Wow what a great review! Thank you!
I agree on the Vanilla...a little too subtle...next time I'll try the boost. I use Ethyl Maltol from Perfumers Apprentice to sweeten juices. Use it VERY sparingly...just a drop or two. And it is a chemical sugar so be careful with it...ie: don't inhale the powder. When you buy it ask for instructions on mixing it. But to me it's better than using an artificial sweetener like Splenda. I like the fact that the juices are not sweet but it sounds like buying and learning how to use the EM would be a good investment for you.

Thanks again for the review....gonna try some Capt Jack for sure. :)

Thanks for the Ethyl Maltol tip. I have yet to delve into the DIY world, beyond just mixing two e-liquids I already I have on hand. I may get there one of these days though. I'm guessing this is something I would have to order, not available in brick and mortar stores?

On the Captain Jack, if you had told me only 3 days ago that I would not only come to enjoy it, but would be ready to order it again, I would have told you you were nuts. One thing I'm rapidly learning on sampling e-liquids is that my first impressions aren't as reliable as I would have thought. It takes several days, sometimes over a week for me to form a lasting impression and I may come to like flavors more or less in that time. Over the top flavors make a great first impression, but may soon get to be too much, whereas the more subtle flavors take time to win me over, but I may end up preferring them.

OK - Vapors Etc:

I placed my order for the sampler pack on Thursday, July 1st as little before lunch central time. I received an email a few minutes later with a tracking #. I received my order just a few minutes ago Sat., July 3rd - all the way from NY to Texas.

On a scale from 1 to 10:

Lead time = 10 - super fast!

My order consisted of:

  • Blueberry - This juice is VERY BLUE.
Taste on a scale of 1 to 10 = 9.5. This is one of the better tasting blueberry juices I have tried...second only to NHALER's Blueberry Crumble. Nice vapor production and just an all around great blueberry taste. The color really threw me though. I did not expect it to be as blue as it was. Will order a larger bottle of this. My only concern is the blue color. According to their website there are no artificial colorings used. Per the FAQ:
We only choose flavorings that contain natural coloring from the extraction process

  • Vanilla - Taste on a scale of 1 to 10 = 8.5.
Good juice...might have to add a doubler but great taste nonetheless.

  • Vanilla Tobacco - Taste on a scale of 1 to 10 = 9.
Another good one...the tobacco taste makes it a hit and better than the straight vanilla.

  • Captain Jack - Taste on a scale of 1 to 10 = 9.75.
A taste I've not experienced as a vaper of 7 months. Hard to fully explain other than just saying an aromatic pipe tobacco blend.

  • English Tobacco - Taste on a scale of 1 to 10 = 9.
Very similar to the Captain Jack in my opinion...just not quite as good. Still a good juice though.

  • Hazelnut Mocha (FREEBIE) - Taste on a scale of 1 to 10 = 5.
The only reason I've rated it this low is that I'm not a fan of the mocha "coffee" taste...not bad, just not my 'cup of juice'. :p

They also threw in a little PV bag...nice perk! Although I really do not use my 510 3.7v PV that often, I've got something to carry it in when I do break it out.

Overall rating of Vapors Etc. - On a scale of 1 to 10 = 9.5. All juices had gresat vapor production.

Fast shipping
Good juice
Good vapor production

All that said, my juice supplier of choice is Nhaler and will remain Nhaler. BUT - you can't beat the prices at Vapors Etc. and I will order from them again.

In my opinion, you can't go wrong by placing an order and I do not think you will be disappointed from this new kid on the block.

Further to what I said earlier about losing faith in my first impressions, I need to revise my initial review of Vapors Etc. flavors, and add a couple new ones. I don't know how much of this is my tastebuds still recovering from 20+ yrs of smoking, or the juice having sat around for longer, or even my gear.

vanilla - I liked the sample the first time around, but said it was just a bit too subtle. As a result, on my next order I requested flavor boost(double flavor). Well, not only was that overkill, but now I find the amount of flavor in the sample seems perfect, and I wish I could cut the flavor in the one I ordered down to normal(without also diluting the nic. content). I still like this a lot, but I like the original mix even better and would not go with flavor boost the next time.

vanilla tobacco - This flavor was the entire reason I went to vapors etc. to place my first order, but I screwed up, so I went back a couple days later and placed a second order. In the meantime, I had tried and liked the vanilla sample, and convinced myself(mistakenly) that I would like it even better in double flavor. I then decided that if the vanilla would be better in double flavor then so would the vanilla tobacco. Seemed perfectly logical to me at the time, but this too was a mistake. At most I should have requested that he double the vanilla but not the tobacco flavoring. I like the flavor and aroma of this a lot, but it's just a tad too potent for me in double flavor and I'm quite sure the regular strength would have been better. It's not that the flavor or aroma are terribly overpowering, but I find that I can't breathe the vapor after I exhale, it's just so strong that I find I have to turn my head to the side to avoid choking on it. I've managed to work around this by mixing it half and half with the double flavor vanilla and that alleviates the problem. If I knew of a way to cut it down to regular strength without also diluting the nicotine content, I would. I'm slowly learning that sometimes less is more.

root beer - I still agree with most of what I said the first time, except now it tastes plenty sweet enough for me. This is weird. The first time I tried it I thought it had no sweetness at all. Then I tasted just a little but not quite enough. Now it tastes near perfect. This flavor is really excellent if you like old-fashioned root beer.

coconut - Much the same as before, but I'm picking up some subtleties that I missed before, like the slight oily quality of the coconut, and the taste and aroma are really spot on. Still doesn't seem as sweet as I would have expected, but in a few more days who knows?

ginger ale - I'm liking this flavor a whole lot more also. It seems to me to be more like straight ginger than ginger ale(which is fine by me), but not as sweet as I would expect for the latter. What's different is that it no longer tastes nearly as subtle as it did before. Not at all in fact. Like the vanilla I wouldn't go double flavor the next time as I'd thought. Also, I exchanged emails with the owner who mentioned that he was in the process of evaluating a potential new ginger flavor, and I'd be intrigued to try that out as well.

Captain Jack - This stuff was just flat outstanding in my opinion(past tense, 3ml doesn't go very far). I'm going through withdrawal already and will be placing a new order for some today.

English Tobacco - Still okay, but unlike the others, this one still hasn't really grown on me.

menthol full - a bonus sample. A really fresh and potent menthol(this stuff will definitely clear your sinuses) along with a nice smooth very basic tobacco flavor. This is a pretty darn good knockoff of the Salem Lights I used to smoke many years ago, but better. Outstanding vapor and throat hit. This flavor, and their menthol, are now both going on my list for future purchases. I'll probably also try out their Reds(I'm guessing that's the non-menthol version of this flavor) next time I order samples. This stuff is fairly potent, so I think flavor boost would be a bit much.

vanilla clove - This time I got a second bonus sample for some reason. I like this more than I expected. I used to smoke unfiltered Djarum clove cigarettes occasionally many years ago, and one of the first flavors I ordered when I started vaping was TV's kretek, which I found to be an excellent knockoff. This is something quite different(no cinnamon or tobacco, or sweet taste), but it's very nice in it's own right. I like the the taste and even more so the aroma of both clove and vanilla, and this is a very nice fresh, aromatic vape. The balance is just right so it's not overpowering and the aroma doesn't linger. This balance is a feature I like a lot and is common to all the Vapors Etc. flavors I've tried so far. They have excellent flavor, aroma, vapor production, and TH, but all without taking over a room. They're all excellent indoor, if not stealth vapes.
I would definitely consider ordering this flavor in the future also.

By the way, I've been very happy with his 510 cartos at 5/$7 and will probably get more. Also, I noticed that he carries the 2-amp version of car USB adapter that can be used with a USB charger or passthru. Although I don't have a passthru yet I do have plans to get one eventually, so I'm tempted to pick this up since it's only $7 and I typically see them for nearly double this price.

A couple more things that I meant to mention but forgot. After I goofed up my first order, I sent a suggestion that they should include the order details in the order confirmation email. I was thinking I might have caught and corrected my mistake that way, instead of it going unnoticed until delivery. He said he in fact already had it on his todo list, but would put higher priority on it. When he shipped my second order last Saturday afternoon, he mentioned that he was working on it. When I placed my third order last night, the conf. email already included all the order details.

I placed my second order late Friday afternoon July 2nd. Since this was a holiday weekend, I was prepared for my order probably not shipping until the following Tuesday July 6. I was pleasantly surprised to get a shipped notice early Sat. afternoon, and even more surprised when the tracking info. showed the package was already at my local post office by the wee hours on Monday the 5th. Had it not been a holiday, I would have gotten the package that same day, but instead I got it on Tuesday the 6th. Not bad at all. In contrast, I ordered from another excellent vendor that same afternoon. They shipped on Tuesday as I expected, the same day I actually took delivery of my Vapors etc. package, and theirs was delivered today(Thursday). That's stilll excellent turnaround in my book, but goes further to show just how good the Vapors Etc. performance was. I'm really impressed with them so far.

Ok, so I placed an order with vapors etc. Shipping was fast. The juices were okay in my book. I liked their rootbeer. Now here is my issue. I also ordered some cartos. These things are horrible. I cant get any draw off of them. No vapor. No flavor. I ordered 20 of them. Kind of bummed.

Okay. I guess these need to be filled via "the syringe method" Ross from Vapors etc. contacted me and is sending out a syringe to help my carto woes. What amazing service!!!

Hi Jejune43! Glad you got such good service. Although not at all suprised :)

Just in case Ross didn't mention it.....I assume your talking about 510's for the cartos. The #1 reason for all the symtoms you describe is overfilling. No matter which method I use to fill my cartos I always blow them out before I try them. Just hold the battery end over a papertowel and then blow through the mouthpiece real hard. If nothing comes out your good....if you get juice coming out then blow one more time and shake it real hard like a thermometer. Juice trapped down in those threads is why it won't make vapor. Good luck and happy vaping!

oh yea....the other "BIG" carto tip...if your carto isnt working...charge your battery. Really...i can't tell you how many times I have sat there and cussed at a carto just to realize my battery is going dead.
