Just tried the Tiki Juice and Menthol Ice. The Tiki Juice is F'in awesome! I didn't think I'd really dig a flavored juice, but I was seriously wrong. I'm getting a vanilla/cherry coke/almost cherry cough syrup taste. Sounds like it would be over powering, but it's not.

Menthol Ice is very good too, but quickly went back to the Tiki Juice.

The only criticism is one that's my own fault in a newbie way - I should have gotten less nicotine. Bought 24mg, as that's what the Blu disposables I've been using at work are. I feel the nicotine kick in too quickly and can only take about 4-5 drags. With the Blu, I'd go at least 8 before I felt I was near enough.

Got my Triton kit and extra coils today (I already had a Triton battery/tank), Woo-Hoo! Comes in a really usable case instead of the typical cardboard box. I already have used the triton, but the kit is truly a good value for the quality of the parts. My order was filled quickly and arrived right on time. This thing vapes beautifully, ejuices that I simply liked before have a deeper, richer flavor. The 650mah batteries with cone and a cartomizer become a surprisingly compact "run around" ecig as well, though it is with the tank that it is the "bomb!" Anyone with a G6 system should have no fear of wasting money stepping up to the Triton, your G6 cartomizers and mini tanks will be right at home! Combining a G6 with the Triton system makes for a super-flexible system. I might even opt to pick up a couple of G6 batts and charger.

So before I ordered the Triton, I was concerned about it being too big (that's what she said). Measurements are all fine and good, but they don't really give me an idea of what it'll actually be like, so here's my best comparison...

The battery is the same diameter as a AA battery. I held a AA battery's - end (flat end) against the bottom of the Triton battery. Without using a caliper, same exact size.

Length with tank - 2 and 2/3 AA batteries. I get just over the line seperating the black from the gold/bronze/whatever color the top 1/3 of a Duracell is.

The XL cartos are a lot onger than I thought they'd be. Just about as long as the tanks are.

I was thinking about getting a few bigger G6 batteries to use at work. I doubt that now, as the Triton with tank or XL carto is about the size of a sharpie marker. I doubt the G6 would really be worth getting for the sole purpose of having a smaller setup.

Initial overall thought of the hardware - fantastic. It's everything I hoped it would be, and it surpassed my expectations. I guess I now what the crackhead that I used to make fun of felt when he said the crack pipe was instant love at first hit.

As for the juices, the menthol ice is growing on me. Hope the others are just as good.

Edit: Haven't tried the cartos yet.

I love my G6! I decided to start off small and the G6 is great, battery life is great and I got a bunch of the mini tanks and couldn't be happier. I will probably had a triton battery to the mix eventually cause from what I hear the mini tanks fit on those batteries too. You will be happy with the G6!

I use the mini-tanks with my Triton and they fit perfectly. I didn't buy a whole starter kit, just one 900mah battery and the Triton USB adapter.

Good job, buddy. You just gave me the push I needed to order the Triton Kit. I was concerned about the size, as well. That's why I did not initially want to invest in it. The size of a sharpie? Gimme that Triton Kit! LOL.

It's funny becaus it seems bigger when looking at it. Held it up a AA battery for perspective. Held it up a sharpie. I think the tank makes it look bigger. The XL carto and cone with battery look a lot smaller to my eyes, but putting side by side with a battery and tank, they're jus about the same size. Odd.

Edit: Forgot to mention I have the 650 mah battery, the bigger of the 2 available in the starter kit.

I tried the cartos today. I got a 4 pack of XL cartos with my order and filled them with various juices. I filled one with Tiki Juice so I can directly compare the carto to the tank with the same juice.

The tanks are a good bit better in every way. There's easily more flavor, easier draw, and more vapor. I'm not trashing the cartos at all; if I didn't have tanks, I'd be pretty happy with the cartos.

Maybe the Tiki Juice is heavier than others and is better suited for a tank, whereas something like HX3 would have less of a difference in a tank vs carto? Gotta finish a tank of either Tiki Juice or Menthol Ice so I can compare a different flavor with tank vs carto.

I know it sounds stupid, but the cartos seem more durable to me than the tanks. I have no worries with the carto attached to the battery sitting in the side pocket of my cargo shorts. I have an odd feeling that the tank would get damaged easier if I bumped into something. Maybe because its clear?

I think I'll use cartos when I'm out, and tanks when I'm at home. That'll probably change down the road though.

Tried HX3 in a carto. Excellent. I get a nutty, hazelnut kind of flavor. Touch of sweetness. The description says a touch of menthol, but I don't taste it. I think I'm losing my taste to menthol because I don't really taste it in my cigarettes anymore.

Since the Triton arrived (Thursday afternoon) I've had 5 cigarettes (today's Saturday). I honestly didn't need any of them, but had one each morning and before bed. Funny thing is they didn't have any flavor. I think the only thing I miss, as stupid as it sounds, is the carbon monoxide. I've been a bit light headed from all the extra oxygen available to my brain.

If you've got a G6, try the mini tanks. I'm pretty sure the difference between them and the cartos will be the same as my experience.

Exylis,

How's the G6 treating you? What flavors? I held a sharpie up to my Triton with XL carto in the store today, and the Triton is actually a bit shorter. Just throwing that out there.

I have the 650mah batteries and a 900mah for relaxing at home. I was also worried about "carry-a-bility" for on the go, at work, etc. and was considering a G6 battery and cartomizer or mini tank for that reason. As it turns out, the Triton 650mah battery and tank only come in at 1" longer than my 808 cigalike...but I also use the Halo cartomizers on my Triton battery for a more compact ecig. With the cartomizers, it is even shorter than my 808 ecig, so really no need to get the G6 battery. I might later purchase the 400mah Triton battery for an even more compact carry-around. The G6 cartomizers work well with Triton, but are no match flavor-wise for the Triton tank.

Great points PeteC2. The decreased flavors of the cartos got me thinking...

The Menthol Ice is a bit too strong in tank for me personally. I like the flavor, but it's a bit much and it's a bit too harsh. I think a carto may tone it down enough for me to really enjoy it. I keep vaping it because I don't want to dump it out (it's not terrible by any means) and I think I can adjust it to. It's not over the top by any means, but it's something I probably won't get again. But if the carto can tone it down, it could easily be a long term on-the-go vape for me. I filled all my cartos with other flavors, so I can't experiment with it just yet.

Everything's got it's place. For me, I think Menthol Ice in an XL carto could be a perfect work vape. Just gotta finish a carto and clean it out good or order more blank cartos first.

The Halo G6 is bad@ss, bro. That's all I gotta say. The life of this little G6 battery lasted me all day at work yesterday and still has yet to be recharged. I am VERY impressed with how much life this tiny battery has. The cartos are great, too and the Tribeca is mildly sweet but extremely mellow. Lots of vapor, plenty of throat hit and great flavor! I've got some mini-tanks on the way.

I placed an order for a Midnight Blue Triton Kit, because I want to experience more of Halo so I can have a better feel for their overall product line quality, as much as my budget can allow. Owning both starter kits is a great way to start, imho. My only concern now is the fact that the only battery option available for the Midnight Blue Triton Tank Kit was 400 mAh. Didn't think anything of it and placed the order.

Later on, I checked the other Triton Tank Kits and found that they had 650 mAh battery options. So I submitted a support ticket requesting an order change, left a phone message with Halo customer service requesting the same and then contacted one other person; all on the same day before an electronic label could ever be created.

The electronic label is not likely to be created until Monday morning. My request was asking them to change my order over to whatever Triton Tank Kit still has the 650 mAh battery option available, instead of the Midnight Blue Triton Tank Kit (which only had the 400 mAh battery option.) I hope Halo gets the request before they try to fill and ship my order on Monday. Cross your fingers for me, buddy.

Bottom line, I am now a Halo fan. I even tried having an analog this morning and I just didn't like it anymore. Can't figure out why - cuz I tried to force myself to finish it (I hate putting anything to waste)..but I had to put that nasty thing out. I honestly can't believe this crazy 180 degree attitude change toward analogs.

Sorry to hear about the unavailability. Maybe I got the last blue 650 mah batteries? Gotta try the Tribecca some time today. I've got that and Longhorn calling my name. Everything I've tried so far has been really good. I like the Tiki Juice the most, but I don't think it'll be an all day vape for me; more like a secondary, relaxing time vape.

Hopefully you'll get the Triton stuff sorted out quickly. I don't know how much the batteries are responsible for in the whole grand scheme of things, but the difference between tanks and cartos is pretty apparent. With the Tiki Jiuce, there are flavors to it that are just flat out missing with the carto. It's like going from listening to music on a laptop vs an actual stereo with real speakers that are bigger than a tennis ball. I'm a music and stereo guy, so that analogy makes most sense to me.

Glad the G6 is treating you well! I had a cigarette last night before bed. Tasted like doo-doo. Finished it because, like you, I can't waste anything. After I was done, I had to take 2 drags of the Tiki Juice to change the taste.

I'll say it outright, anybody buying a Triton kit may as well bite the bullet and buy a minimum 3 extra tanks AND a set of replacement coils. Also, grab a handful of G6 mini tanks whether you have a Triton or G6; they are much easier for sampling, and when they stop working? Inexpensive enough not to break the bank when you replace them.

And make it easy on yourself when you want to try Halo juices; get the sample packs!

Hey, sorry. Looks like JR and I got the last of the 650 mah Midnight Blue batteries! Halo seems to be selling out of a few of the Tritons; the Aluminum starter is totally sold out. But that's good, it means the system is popular and they'll continue :)

My 650's have been lasting a good 14 hours, so the 400 ones should last you a good while longer than the G6 ones.

I now have a a pack of standard resistance heads on standby, 5 triton tanks (3 in use, 2 on standby, I think Prime is going into one...) and 6 mini's, 5 with various other vendor flavors in them. I think I am pretty much set, but yeah, after I got 2 of each in my first order I decided I needed the whole damn rainbow. Color coding helps me know what is in what.

On a sad note, my green G6 manual battery appears to have given up the ghost.

@Jefsview - I got 2 1300's, I would estimate that they go about 16 hours if I don't count when I sleep. I have found that I usually have to switch to the next battery right around 4-5pm as I leave work. Which works out well, I get home and charge the other one and this cycle has been close to clockwork for the last week. And I vape heavy, even at work since my cube mates are just happy I am not smoking anymore. They have been extremely cool about it.

Not sure if it was this thread or another that compared the battery sizes to a sharpie, but for what it is worth, I stood a sharpie up against a 1300 triton with the triton tank on it. The sharpie come up to exactly the end of the silver ring on the tank (the threads basically.). So a 1300 with tank is exactly the black drip tips length longer than a sharpie.

Yeah, on my next order, I'm stocking up on tanks, mini-tanks and coil heads -- too many juices to try out. So far, Torque and Turkish have kept my initial 2 tanks filled and happy ;) I probably won't picked up another battery until the vv and passthrus come out in a few weeks. I've been pretty happy with the 650 ones so far.

Looking forward to payday this week :)

Another idea: You could buy the replacement coils at the next higher resistance which might smooth out the Menthol Ice. Different ejuices seem to do better with more...or less "cooking".

I figured out part of the muted taste and harder draw with the cartos - the cone restricts airflow at the bottom of the cartos. It's a decent bit better without the cone on, but the tanks are still significantly better.

Maybe drill a small hole or two at the bottom of the cones? Maybe Halo should consider it.

I'd recommend just buying the "standard" cone. It is short enough that you won't block the airflow with your lips which can happen with the longer cone which comes with the Triton kit. Unless the longer cone can work with the G6 mini-tank, I would've recommended Halo supply the short cone instead of the long one.

I've got XL carts, so it's not an issue of my lips being near the cone.

I think it's flavor dependent - I tried Tribecca in a carto, and it was better with the cone on than off. Nothing can be simple, can it?
