On Drew's recommendation, I bought the mega 510 carto's when I ordered my eGo and they suck. They are billed as having a cooler vapor based on the higher resistance. Well that is just not a good combination for a 510. You have to suck till you're blue in the face to get any meaningful vapor.

So, who sells 510 carto's that have lower resistance? Something around 2 Ohms would be good. The mega's are over 3 ohms and I'm assuming that's why they suck as far as I'm concerned.

ProVape just announced that they have started to stock LR cartomizers, as far as I know they are the only folks that carry LR cartos at the moment. It looks like they have run out of them and it will be a couple of weeks before they have more.

I've been looking for the same thing. The vaporKing premiums at V4L are 2 point something, and they work well, but I have to use an adapter to use them on my eGo. A 510 version would be great.

I just measured my cartos. I have the mega's and some others from I believe valuevapor. The mega's were about 3.1Ohms the VV were not mega's and do seem to vape better (but the flavor in them is nasty, so I'll have to clean them somehow before I can add my own juice) but the VV ones were not that much better at 2.9 Ohms.

To compare, my standard atty that came in my Ego was 2.1 Ohms and my LR atty from Nhaler was 1.7 Ohms. I get much better performance with the atty's either when direct dripped and with carts than I do with either of my carto's. I like to have good vapor production, so I definitely will be watching for those LR carto's to come back in stock.

Just keep an eye out for burning filler material.

Burning filler material is/was/used to be a problem in normal cartomizers.
Not sure they have solved that issue yet.

But lower resistance atomizers just means easier burning of filler material.
So yeah, just keep a close eye on them.

Wise advice DC2. I say first sign of flavor decreasing. Don't wait for the nasty stuff - it's too late. I have a 'wetbox' now which is just perfect for that. One squeeze and you're back in business.

When you are measuring your carto/atty resistance, are you subtracting the resistances of your probes? Unless you say so I am writing off all these stated measurements because I have no idea if you are incorporating the resistance of your probes which could be up to about 50% of the observed value, and varies from meter to meter / probe to probe.

I ordered a couple of packs myself with the intention of using them exclusively on the Wetbox too. I'm hoping that this device would keep the cartos wet enough decreasing the risk of burnt filler. When the Wetbox and the LR cartos arrive sometime this week I'll let you know how they work out. I do have standard 510 cartos to compare them to as well.

Sounds like you got your order in before they were sold out ;-) I know that even with the mega cartoz that I'm using the flavor return is instant - it must be going right near the atty.

Well my unit is auto zeroing. It is a fairly high end unit. When I turn it on and touch the probes together, I get 0.0 ohms.

I've only been using these for a day and so far I can't complain. To be honest, I think I am more impressed by the Wetbox than I am the cartomizers. Don't get me wrong, the LR cartos have a warmer vape vs. standard cartos and it does simulate HV vaping with a lower voltage device. Flavors are a little lost however. Being that they aren't insanely more expensive than standard cartos and if you are used to a HV vape then I'd say they'd be relevant to your interests. I am curious as to how long they will last though.
