I just have to ask, are there any American based companies selling e-kits?

If so, do any of them have prices as good as the companies from China?

I know if there are American companies that sell e-cigs they probably get their inventory from China. I might feel better dealing with an American company because of political, economic and ease of access reasons.

Currently I am looking at the Riva 510 SE from here: Electronic Cigarette - Starter Kits - Riva 510

Someone suggested an Ego instead. I am researching the differences between the 510 and the Ego. I have not decided yet - so if there were an American distributor, they would have to carry a product similar as these and with as good a price. My price would be $34.39 with the 20 % discount.

No, I think all parts and ecigs are originated in China.....The Riva 510 SE is a great kit.....buy it,. Button is the only difference between the two and the Riva is 750 mah compared to eGo 650 mah or 900 mah.

ps the site you are looking from ships from California and only cost 2.99 for shipping, They ship it priority and pay the additional cost themselves....you won't find a better vendor or price,

This is what is called a "mod" and if you are interested in getting a mod, there are tons of them made in the USA.
But generally speaking, all of the atomizers and cartomizers that are used are still from China.

If you are interested in the one you linked, I can assure you that Puresmoker is a top notch company without question.

I really can't say for sure, but I think Cisco atomizers might be made here in America.
I would wait until someone else chimes in on that before listening to me.

Actually, there is a pretty big difference between the Riva SE and the eGo batteries.

The Riva SE is just about the only 510 type battery that runs at a true 3.7 volts.
The rest of them, including the plain Riva, and the eGo, are 3.7 volt batteries but they run at 3.2 volts under load.

Anyone have good or bad experiences with these companies?

I AM just starting out.. this is part of my research. I'm leaning toward the Riva 510 SE as stated but haven't decided on the juice yet so I haven't actually ordered yet.

I was thinking if i could find the same product from an American distributor, it may be a little more cash but it would be worth it in shipping wait time and ease of access. Plus I get to contribute to an American company as well.

Even though a majority of equipment is probably manufactured in China. most of the vendors listed in the suppliers section are in the US. So at least the profit from the sale is staying at home.

Well, as long as you're just starting out and considering the Riva. You might want to look at the e-power. It's similar to the eGo or Riva but, it uses much cheaper generic batteries. This is what I would have gotten had I known about it when I got the eGo. If the ECF15 discount code is still in effect, the cheapest place I've heard of to get it is E-Power From Smok Tech and HECS Then head over to madvapes and get a couple extra batteries.
