Has anyone been able to track down any beauty rings for the Smoktech Zmax to give it a flat-top look, similar to the ones available for the Provari? I'm quite fond of the way the Stainless Zmax looks, but nothing except an ERA clone looks good on top because of the beveled/angled top cap. It's only 20mm or so to begin with, smaller than your standard 22mm stuff, but with that angle on top it makes it look ridiculous with any wider attys.
I have considered replacing the top cap with a whole new flat top one, the stock is press-fit in so replacing it wouldn't be difficult, I've already had the cap off a few times to fiddle with the board inside, but finding a new top cap of the right diameter is going to be difficult, with the non-standard diameter of the Zmax. Anyone aware of some cheapo mechs or something i could get for parts that is thinner than your standard 22mm? I'm thinking maybe the flat-top cap for the smoktech telescope mech might match, but I haven't seen the caps for sale alone, and it's a bit too spendy to buy just to tear apart for the caps.
