Does this happen to anyone else when doing a project. You go to buy the supplies you need and if you need 25 crystals they only sell them in packages of 22. If you needed 21 they'd probably only sell them in package of 20.

It's like they hire gremlins to spy on me and then change the packaging count to one or 2 less than I need, so that I have to make a special trip back to the store.

I'm making my sister-in-laws unity candle for her wedding. I decided to add some crystals to the outside of the candle. No "Michael Jackson" looking thing but it will have a pattern to it. I thought I'd use 2 colors of crystals, each package contains 22 I didn't think about it I assumed that was more than enough. I am exactly 4 crystals short, 2 of each color, so I have to go back today and purchase not 1 but 2 more packages for the pattern to look nice. (or at least I hope for it to look nice) Now if they would sell them in packages of 25 I would have had one crystal in each color left over for a just incase something falls off before the wedding fix. Yes I need to purchase the extras because I was stupid and started at the back of the candle and the missing pieces are right in front by the invitation where everyone will see.

But it seems any time I do a crafty project I run into this. If I have to buy a bulk of something the count is always 1 or 2 short of what I really need. Am I the only one? Are they just picking on me or does this happen to anyone else? It's like the hot dog and hot dog bun packaging count but crafts, and how do they know how many I needed before I even knew?

Alright sorry rant off now, I just hope they both like it.

Safina, where do you get your supplies?I order from Fire Mountain and I've never been disappointed. I make jewelry, and paint on glass, wood, and candles.

We don't have a Michael's or Hobby Lobby where I live, so I get what I can online. If I ever travel by a craft store, I blow $100 easy. But I use what I buy! LOVE TO CRAFT, but husband has business that takes a lot of my time, (thank God our office is in our living room) and disabilities which take up the rest of my time!:p However, I'm disabled, not DEAD! I still do what I want to, just can't do it for as long as I want to.

What else do you craft? Hey, vent at me anytime!:)

Oh no you girls are causing trouble. I don't need names of more places to spend my money at. This was a simple project so I just went to Michael's. I mostly just do candle stuff, but it's still so easy to get carried away every time I walk into a craft store.

Now I'm off to check out Five Mountain, and see what they have.

lol.... I have so much craft stuff I could probably open a store.... but it always seems that when I start a project there is always something that I don't have here and need to order online or run to the craft store to get something. (And that can be dangerous... it's very rare that I can can walk in, buy what I "needed" to get & that's it.. I can spend A LOT in a craft store)

What size & color crystals do you need? I may have some here that I could send you and that would save you from having to buy to many extra!

I am the most "uncrafty" person alive! Not that I haven't tried, I just inpatient and what it done NOW! I have tile to make a "frame" for my bathroom mirror but I haven't even attempted it yet........too much big stuff to do. I admire you ladies for being crafty. I never even learned to sew really. I take all my stuff to my MIL that needs mending. She doesn't mind so works great for me ;)

Safina, there's also a place on line called artbeads.com, they have ton's of beads, beading supplies, etc, and free shipping anywhere in the US, even if you only buy 1 or 2 items, wonderful sale's and prices to. A great place to shop.

I have used ArtBeads too. I love their silver beading components. And the way they wrap everything in purple tissue paper is so cool. I guess they still do that.....haven't used them in quite awhile. Husband went into business a year ago tomorrow, and between helping him as best as I can and taking care of dying mom last fall, I didn't participate in the yearly Homemakers Craft Show we have every fall. But, I am, Lord Willing, this year. I sent off my booth money the other day. Now I have got to find time to do it all.

When we were in Memphis in June for convention, found a Michael's there and got 2 log cabin bird houses that I want to get stained and painted. I want to keep one though. I just thought they were so cute. Michaels and Saintscruiser = lots of money spent.

She with the most beads, yard or fabric...WINS!

lol.... I can't even imagine trying to take pics of all my stuff that I have here... I have beads & beading supplies on the first floor of my house. My jewelry & jewelry making supplies on the first & second floor & all the ribbon, paints, flowers, baskets, wreaths etc. etc. etc. etc. in the basement! Oh & some in the garage that I was trying to sell at my yard sale! I have way too much STUFF!

Beaded Lanyard that I made... What do you think? It's the first one.. so some improvements need to be made.

This is a carrying case from a company that I no longer use & no longer wanted to advertise that company...

This is a USB charging case again from the same company that I no longer use & no longer wanted to advertise that company...

At least now I can tell the difference between the cases... I was not thinking that way when I bought them...
