I have permanent porcelain bridges... remnants of a wreck several years ago..

Long story short today my bridge was removed and I currently have a temp bridge. I assume it's the same as the temp crowns..

I had that done about 3 PM today and finally my face is not numb.

The problem.. I think my vaping is melting whatever material these temp teeth are made of.. they are already feeling like porous and rough..

Are these some sort of polycarbonate material?? If so it may be just like the poly tank issues and cracking tanks...

Any info would be helpful! Thanx

I am not a dentist but, I did have a temp bridge while I was waiting for my permanent to be made. No issues with mine from vaping at all. I tend to vape mostly fruit flavors as well.

I would call your dentist if I were you. Could be another issue.

Wait, temp crowns and bridges do feel porous and rough. They are not smooth like the permanent ones are. I suspect that you are just now noticing because the numbness is wearing off.

I actually didn't get any numbing =P (I'm kinda uhm.. sadistic I guess) It was 'fairly' smooth when I walked out (I may have just not noticed though).. (I guess I should elaborate though) - whats being made is a 'replacement' bridge.. I had chipped the one I had pretty badly and also had some work that needed done under it that I had taken care of about a month ago.. So.. This one just needed replaced is the jist of it.. However this idiot didnt have the slide hammer to pop it off like he should have and he cut it off instead..

It seems like every vape tho it just gets rougher and rougher... Possibly in my head,, but just seems odd.. If it gets too bad, or it gets any worse I'll just grab some fine sandpaper and make them smooth =P

No kidding bruiser.. These things are driving me nuts..

Anywho - as an update, I want to say yall were probably correct. These were nasty porous pos's prior to me realizing it. I want to say they havent gotten any worse since that first day.. BUT i was pretty sure they were more smooth the first hour or 2 after I left..

Oh well.. I'll buff em smooth or something if they keep bugging me.

Thanx a bunch yall
