Since you are only vaping 6mg nic, you might try just vaping unflavored 100% vg without nicotine for a spell. You can buy it at Walmart. Usually found in the foot care section; its also used as a skin emollient.

I just called the Vape shop and yeah all the coils they use are Smok coils and made of Kanthal.

Maybe I’ll flip back to my old tank and see if I notice a difference. It’s kind of weak though. Any tanks/ coils anyone is aware of that use stainless steel coils that will handle wattage around 100 with 100VG?

I know I’m being needy. Thanks everyone for your patience, expertise and help!

If you tank is the original Crown, there are 0.25ohm coils made of stainless steel that fall in that wattage range.

  • 1.2 ohm Single Stainless Steel Uwell Crown Coil - 10 to 30W
  • 0.5 ohm Dual Stainless Steel Uwell Crown Sub-Ohm Coil - 30 to 80W
  • 0.25 ohm Dual Stainless Steel Uwell Crown Sub-Ohm Coil - 80 to 120W
  • 0.15 ohm Dual Ni200 Nickel Uwell Crown Sub-Ohm Coil - 400 to 600 Degrees Fahrenheit (temp control)

Awesome! Thanks again for your help I really appreciate it. I’m going to run up the the shop and see if they have any of these in stock. It is the Original Crown tank.

I’ll give a go and report back. Hoping this is the answer. Sick of this crap. It’s been almost a year with no answers.

Just a Heads Up on VG.

100% VG is probably going to be Too Thick to be used straight out of the bottle. Kinda of a One Way Ticket to Dry Hit City.

So if you decide to try it, I would put some in an Empty 30ml Bottle and then Dilute it with Distilled or Bottles Water until it is about as thick as you normal e-Liquids.

The Crown coils that the OP is going to get can take 100% Vg with no problem. I'm using that tank, those coils, and 100% vg as I type this.

Now if he was using a MTL tank with high resistance coils, then I would agree with your warning. ;)

@Jeff2095, I do recommend refreshing your memory on how to prime and break in a new coil.

The stuff from WM is super thick. Not like the VG we can get from vendors. I believe vendors do put a little water in the VG or they buy it that way cause it is not near as thick as the WM stuff. Is that what you are using? Just a few drops of DW would make it a bit easier to handle.

Just my 2 pennies.

During short bouts of vaper's tongue, I've used the WM vg straight from the bottle to the tank. No problem.

I don't chain vape and I'm not a high wattage vaper (30 watts). And I always thoroughly prime and break in my new coils as shown in the above video. Makes a big difference in my opinion.

Those Crown Coils must have pretty Loose Wicking and Big Inlets if they can take Pure VG without Dry Hitting.

Especially at the Wattages that most would use them at.

They seem to prime pretty easily. Proper priming and breaking in of the coils is key. I'm not a chain vaper, cloud chaser, nor a particularly high wattage vaper. I nearly always vape at 30 watts, even when I used the lower 0.25 ohm coils. My preference are the 0.5 ohm coils.

I’m not sure honestly. They’re T10 coils but I haven’t found anything yet regarding how they’re made or made of. More research in store.
Your Crown coils were ss, you might try switching back to ss coils.

I'll take your word for it.

I haven't see really Anything that can Handle Pure VG at wattages that most Vaper's vape at. But that doesn't mean that it Doesn't Exist.

I use 50-/50 pg/vg sometimes 40/60 and I guess some would consider my wattage is kinda wimpy for the lower ohm coils I like, but yeah I still get great flavor and almost more clouds than I can handle. I just prefer a cooler vape.

I used these crown tanks and coils for a while and they are a great vape. They helped me to transition into ohms lower than 0.50 Have loads of them for when I am old and can't build anymore. Or see to put in premade coils, or whatever.

LOL

So I just got back from the shop and bought one of these stainless steel coils for my old Crown and I can already tell that the Kanthal/nichrome was the problem. I’m chain vaping just to see if I can piss off my body and I’m fine. Eyes don’t itch, burn, nothing. No skin irritation of any kind.

I have been dealing with this issue for nearly a year. Eyes swollen, itching so bad I have to take 2 Benadryl every night just so I can sleep because the itching is so intense. 2 different prescriptions just to get it under control and putting hydrocortisone on my eyes just so I can get the swelling/ redness down. I don’t want to even think of how much money I spent in different eye drops. I even went into AFib and had to get shocked at the hospital because my body didn’t tolerate me taking 2 24hr Zyrtec’s which I took because the itching was driving me insane. lol Nothing helped.

Thank you everybody on this thread for helping me with this!

I can certainly relate to allergies. According to the doc you may as well say I am allergic to the planet. LOL, trees, grass, flowers, etc and inside cannot have carpets or drapes and my beds can't be made with Kapoke(sp) wood(most box springs are made of this).

Anyway, when Zyrtec was a prescription my insurance paid, when it went over the counter the costs are crazy. So I found the generic version its called Cetirizine and is available at Sams for like $12 bucks or so for 200 tablets. Big difference in price---no difference in how it and Zyrtec work. Same stuff.

So glad you found what you are allergic to.....big relief, I know.
