Any health risks to holding in vapor?

I've recently started vaping. I only smoked cigs on occasion but started because of the great vape shops all over Vegas with top quality juices. Anyway, I started at 6mg nicotine and have stayed there since. I don't like to be bothering people with vapor in public so I tend to hold in my puffs, followed by some clean air to push down the vapor. Then when I exhale it dissipates rather quickly as if I'm not even vaping.
I've noticed that after taking 4-10 puffs this way gives me a very strong nic buzz, despite only being 6mg. I'm sure partially because of the long deep breaths/slight lack of oxygen, but my question is if this is unsafe? I'm not asking if vaping in general is safe/unsafe as I'm sure everyone here is in support, but do any experienced users have an opinion they can give on this? After starting to hold in hits like that, I find it hard not to try and vape that way..

Welcome to the forums, I am 1.5 years in and I travel a lot for work. I vape the same way when I am in the airport, public places, and bars. I haven't felt any side effects, but yeah like you said a few puffs is all you need because your getting nic a little more with the less oxygen gives that slight buzz.

I am no doctor, but that's my opinion.

The buzz comes from CO2 retention, not low O2. Your body will get used to it. As for holding the vape in your lungs, that is debatable and un-tested. I believe that unlike "TAR" in analogs, "TAR" in vape is mostly water soluble, and any extra "Total Aerosol Residue" will quickly be eliminated by normal lung function as long as you do not smoke analogs anymore to hinder the cleaning and maintenance mechanism in the lungs.

I am not in the medical profession, and this is only my personal opinion
