Hello all! I'm searching for info on this Hybris Mini VV. It is a redesign of the Mini Lambo. Just wondering if anybody has tried it out or owns one. I have an L-Rider Robust and really enjoy it and was going to buy another, but couldn't find it in Stainless and ran in to this one, which looks really nice! I'm thinking about buying the Hybris instead, but I wanted to get some feedback on it first. Thanks!! :)

Wow... nobody. Anyway, I did some research on it and bought it Friday. Apparently, 'Aquavaporcig' said they redesigned a mini Lambo...
Hybris Variable Voltage Ecig Mod - Highest Quality Mini Variable Voltage eCig Mod on the Market Designed by AquaVapor LLC although I purchased it from J-vapes. J-vapes (owner of Jwraps) just opened yesterday and I was told I was their first customer.
I'm looking forward to this. Like I mentioned, it is the same as the L-Rider Robust (which I use everyday), but I wanted a chrome Robust and got more options with this one. If preferred, You can actually charge it through a USB, but I'm a little leary about that. For now, I think I'll charge the batteries in my Intellicharger until I see some feedback on it in the future. :)

Hello edrompa...It's my personal preference to have a smaller device for out and about. I love this. It's very similar to my L-Rider Robust except the Hybris has a couple of new options... It has ego threads (the Robust has 510 so you need an adapter to use the egos). You can also attach a Lanyard to the Hybris and there is another option to charge the battery via usb (in which I won't do until I get more feedback from the Battery pros on here to see if it's actually a safe thing to do). They both work pretty much the same though. I really like them both. I've found that most people on here don't care for them because of the battery/drain time issue. I don't really have that issue because I use my evods/mini-protanks between 3.1 and 3.3 volts, so I get plenty of time before I have to change batteries (and obviously you should always have back up batteries with you). I carry 4 in a case with me everyday, but I usually only switch out once. Hope this helps. If you need anymore info, let me know.
I just checked and the Hybris dropped another 10.00 since I bought mine. I bought it from J-vapor though. They don't have the site up and running yet, so I dealt with Rachael at J-wraps. (It's made by Aguavapor)...

Here's a couple of links to look at both.

Hello IMRs, thanks for posting about the Hybris. I've been looking at it, but haven't been able to pull the trigger. And searching around the internet there is almost no information for this. I can see that the small 14500 battery is probably the biggest negative, at least it is for me.

Other than the replaceable battery, is there a reason to get the Hybris over something like the iTaste VV or the eGo-V v2 or v3?
I already own those two, so I'm not sure I would gain anything different by getting a Hybris. Although I really do like the way it looks. I didn't see any dimensions for the Hybris, but it looks to be the same dimensions of the eGo-V mega, 129mm tall and 17mm diameter.

Hello Genghis! :)
I'm not familiar with those 2, but the Hybris' dimensions are 5/8" x 4&7/16"... I really like it, but it is about preference. Below is what 'j-vapor' sent me, as far as literature, before I purchased. They do not have an online store, but I met them because Alon (the owner) runs and owns 'j-wraps'. They actually bought this Hybris from Aquavaporcig.

J-vapor is Proud to bring you the Hybris Mini Variable Voltage Electronic Cigarette Mod. The Hybris is a redesigned version of the Mini Lambo. We worked directly with the manufacturer to highest Quality and best performing Mini Variable Voltage eCig Mod on the Market. The Hybris Variable Voltage Ecig Mod is a tiny powerhouse that powered by a single 14500 battery and can be charged with a eGo charger or with a 14500 compatible battery charger. Enjoy having all the features of the Big Variable Voltage devices, in a very convenient user friendly size.

High Level Changes we made to make the Hybris the best Mini Variable Voltage Electronic Cigarette Added the ability to charge the device with an eGo charger from the atomizer threads Added a flash feature so when you lock in the voltage on the device the LCD screen will flash 3 times to let you know it's locked Added atomizer resistance checker Added ability to use atomizers as low as 1Ω Added a lock on the LCD screen as a visual to let you know the device is locked Added a small hole in the top of device so a lanyard can be used Made adjustments to the internal circuit board to improve the vape quality and voltage accuracy. Re-designed the atomizer (AV-BCT) which is like an EVOD but with better vapor output and flavor The Hybris package option contains: 1 - Variable Voltage Hybris Electronic Cigarette Device 1 - 14500 Rechargeable Li-ion battery (650mah) 1 - Hybris eGo Style Charger 1 - AV-BCT Clearomizer (redesigned EVOD style clearomizer) with 1-Replaceable Atomizer Head 1 - Hybris Lanyard 1 - 10ml Bottle eLiquid / Smoke Juice
Standard parameters Input voltage:2.5V-5.5V with 3.7V lithium battery Output voltage :3.0V-6.0V (Allowable error ±0.1V) Atomizer resistance :1.0Ω-5.0Ω (Suggested Use 2Ω-3.0Ω atomizer) Charging voltage :4.2v/ 420mA

Like I stated before, I don't charge IMR batteries with a USB cable. Also, if you're not familiar with the 14500 batt.. It is almost identical in size as a double A battery. Also, if you do decide to buy, just get yourself some IMR 14500 Batteries (I use Efest & AW). The battery they send isn't worth the risk. I've read a lot about batteries, here on ECF and the people with all the battery knowledge don't recommend some of the batteries that vendors send in the kits.

I really like it and yes, it does look good. (The Robust is very cool too... it's the same size and one of the differences of the 2 is that the Hybris is ego compatible (the Robust is 510 & needs an adapter-which is no real big deal).

Hope this helps you out a little more, on deciding. Anymore questions-feel free to ask :)

I own the iTaste VV and the hybris is a FAR better device. I keep both in my gym bag as my out and about mods and more often than not, I reach for the hybris (if the battery is charged :/)
You might want to buy a couple more batteries so it's always handy. I have 6, but usually only have to reload once in a day. It's always nice to have backups, just in case. Enjoy! :toast:

Does the Hybris have a floating + pin like the Robust? I can't find anything that says so or a picture to show me. Thanks

No, it doesn't have the floating pin, Burnie. It looks more like the 510 battery pin, except it may be brass or brass plated (just looking at the gold color). It's effective though. I use it almost every day and never had a problem with it.:thumb: I do like the floating pin although this is easier to clean. Hope this helps you. :)

The Hybris had promise, but I really like the floating + pin with the Robust. I have too many times had to pry up the + to get a good connection and it is one thing I look for in a mod now. I was just looking for a different one besides the Robust as I have had 2 of 3 with problems. Got 3 off the classies, one square and 2 round, the square and 1 round were unused, the other lightly used. The new square had the led go out in 2 weeks, still works, just can't see anything on the screen. The new round went out this weekend (about a months use), button is cocked and won't fire now. I am now using the lightly used round one, but I am not having good luck with them lasting which is why I was looking at the Hybris. There aren't too many 14500 VV mods out there, and I like the small form factor.

Thanks Again for the reply.

Your welcome! I've had the Robust (round) for a year and a half now with no problems. I bought it from vaporcigzz. I always thought about getting another for a backup, then I ran into the Hybris. They are the only 2 14500's that I know of, at this point. I'm still debating on whether I should get another Robust, though. Right now, I actually want to upgrade from the Vamo 2 (which is way too heavy) to something smaller to fit a Protank (for instance). I will probably always use the 14500's at work, but I'm getting comfortable now with the bigger mods for out and about. Yeah, the 14500 (as you probably know) aren't a very big seller because I think most people think that you don't get enough vape time out of them. Oh well, you have a great day and best of luck in your search. :toast:

Well I decided to get the Hybris anyway. Found a 15% off code "ecr15" so after freight it was only $43.21, not a bad price for what you get.

WoW, Really FAST Shipping, Ordered Wednesday, Came today Saturday. :D
Works good. Using my carto tank and not the EVOD that came with it. Also using my IMR batteries, as it came with a Li-ion 14500, not sure why they didn't put in an IMR 14500 instead, but Happy with my purchase anyway. I like the LCD better than the L-Rider Robust, just wish it had the floating + connection. I'll try the juice they sent after I let it age a little. For a starter kit though it has Everything to vape right out of the package, and a good price for what you get.

Well I have been using the Hybris as my ADV since I got it, working great. I use (generally) 2 batteries a day with my use, YMMV. I liked it so much I decided to order another because they are having a 4th of July Sale, and it never hurts to have backups.

Picked up another Hybris Kit and 4 IMR 14500 batteries, after discount (and there was no freight) it came to only $40.60, not a bad deal. If you want one now is the time to get it. Sale ends midnight on the 4th, coupon code "fireworks" for 20% off.
