any other than aw imr?

this has probably been hashed over time and time again but is there any battery other than the red aw imr batteries that are good for a mini? Mine need to be replaced. I have some trustfires but they don't work as well as the aw's. Wanted to know about experiences others have had.

I need 2 and all the aw's are at sites where I have to pay $6-$7 for shipping. Out of principle, I refuse to pay that much for shipping on a package of that size. Super T's shipping is dirt cheap (because it's first class and not priority mailing) and fairly quick but they have none in stock. Is there anything else out there? I guess I'll pay more if I have to but would like to hear some feedback from others first.

No other battery will match the performance of the AW IMR's. Which is why they're recommended for a lot of mods out there. Others will drop in voltage way to quickly and you'll find yourself with a very inconsistent vape. So, IMO it's best to get yourself the recommended batts. I would just stock up on them now so that it makes up the cost for shipping.

Thanks, Washvap. I actually found them for a pretty good price at RTDVapor.com just now recommended on another thread in the reo forum. Picked up a few battery cases, driptips, and some other stuff for $2.10/shipping.

No problem, glad you found them. RTD is a really good vendor and it's where I get all of my batts. Apologize that I didn't recommend them with my first post. They really do have great prices on everything along with cheap shipping.

Randy from RTD delivers free to my door usually the day I place the order. I never met him but saw him early one morning dropping off an order for me. Sometimes he surprizes me with some freebies. He seems like a real nice fair guy

I've been using the AM IMR 3.7v high drains in my box mod from the beginning. They work great with all resistance attys and cartos.

Also ordered a couple Trustfire 3.7s from ebay, and found that they cut out after about 1 second with LR attys(1.7). Tried them again with 2.0 ohm cartos, and they seem to work fine. Just something to make note of.

Well my new batteries came in and for whatever reason they seem to not last even close to as long as the ones I previously had. Same model...Good old fashioned red aw imr 14500 900mah. I contacted RTD and hopefully will here from them soon. Hopefully its just a bad batch or something.

new IMRs need 4-5 charging cycles before they reach their full potential. I know...I was startled by it too when I first got mine.

Yes, both my old ones and new ones are 600mah rather than 900mah.

Thanks for the input, RF. I'm going to cycle these a few more times before I start to look for new batteries. RTD responded to me and want some more info so I'll answer them and see what they say.
