Any reason these wouldn't work?

Perhaps a bit of a noob question, but is there any reason these wouldn't work, and work well?

About to place an order from them, and came across these... would love to try out a couple...

It seems that the voltage is the big deal, not the current, and I would think these would last days... Don't know what I'd do if I burned out my Provari, though...

Thoughts?

i am pretty sure you are suppose to use high drain batteries with your provari, but i am not positive on that.. someone i am sure will come along soon that knows more than me.

Ah... A specification I missed...

But can you imagine? 2900 mAh? The 1600s I bought when I bought the ProVari last me a day and change already...

I don't really need them, but I'm still drooling a bit thinking about it!

Yup i would get them for sure if they worked with them.
I get my provari Monday.
So i am just trying to read up on them as much as i can.

You CAN use protected batteries with the Provari just fine. It's highly preferred to use the high drains, but protected works just fine.

Now, here is the point to worry about... as a general rule, the 18650's listed as 3000mAh or close to that, are almost always grossly overstated. More often than not they are no better, and in a few occasions are worse, than the normal ones.

That being said I have NEVER had an issue with Vapor Kings as a seller, and don't believe they would stock these with the intention of misleading. Still, it could be possible that they were mislead by the company supplying those batteries, so I would be leery of buying them.

EDIT: Depending on the brand, some of the protected batteries are just long enough that you can't screw the end cap down all the way, but they still work if you can deal with that.

The C Rating in the IMR is much greater than the IC Batt, forget about mAh, this has been tested and tested with the Provari and other Mods, also another great Bat that I have been running in my Provari is the MNKE with a small rare earth magnet on the top of it, I have been getting much longer run times out of this batt then the AW IMR it seems, in any case you can use the Black IC AW or any batt you chose even the cheap trustfire 18650 3000mAh but you would be doing your provari an injustice to run anything but the AW IMR or the MNKE IMR Both are the only way to go in my opinion.

Also another fact, that battery that you posted is not a button top battery. Provari requires a button top, you can however use a magnetic button top on your battery to make it work but it adds about a 1/4 inch to the length.

Thanks so much got the input. I'm not unhappy with the IMRs, so I'll stick with them. Just seeing these got me wondering.

Those AW IC 18650 2900 mAh batteries are excellent in traditional, non-VV mods and the mAh rating seems right on to me. But, as others have said, stick with the high drains for your ProVari.
