So ive been pouring over these threads for a good hour or so now, still cant seem to find a solid answer. Im looking for a good, high quality rta to replace my tugboat and regular tank attys with premade coils. tanks are the best choice for me, but with this FDA crap coming, im looking for an RTA so i have a better chance of finding workarounds. My only criteria would be big build base (my only rta experience stems from a fogger 4.1, and that build base was tiny), able to handle high watts, good airflow, and at least a 6ml capacity. My budget would probably be 50-80 bucks. Just to give you an idea of what i currently like, i currently rock a ehpro etank s2 black on my vaporshark dna 40. Any recommendations or pointers would be fantastic! Thanks ECF!

The newest Kanger Subtanks are very solid and reliable and user friendly.
The Smok TFv4 has far more muscle.
So something on the lighter side of rta vaping I would recommend the subtanks (but you're transitioning from a Tugboat, so the TFv4 is probably more your speed).
For a more voluminous vape and more deck options then I'd recommend the TFv4, especially with the R2 (dual coil) rba (sold separately).
My opinion.

Got a Bellus arriving tomorrow so I expect that to be a good one.

But thanks to its' combination of features and the now updated model fixing the post hole size and non-standard 510 DT... I think I'll be snagging a Crius very soon. It's gonna need a serious flaw to not be a home run.

I don't think either is more than 5ml though.

Are you a cloud chaser or a flavor chaser?

The Aromamizer is good. Comes in a 3ml and 6 ml version.

The UD Bellus holds 5 ml and comes with a silicone plug if you want a single coil instead of dual coil.

I would recommend those for cloud chasers.

For flavor chasing I would recommend the Goblin Mini or the Kayfun Nano. Those are what I use but they only hold 3 ml, and the GMini build deck is tight. It comes withba plug if you want to use a single coil.

I have heard good things about the Cthulhu tank and the Billow V2 but no personal experience.

Then there is the Zephyrus and Goliath V2 both made by UD. THE ZEPHYRUS is only dual coil the Goliath V2 comes with a plug to close off one side if you want a single coil.

Okay everyone. Thanks for the suggestions. Currently liking the aromamizer and kayfun nano. Couple more questions to narrow it down. Is the kayfun nano an authentic? If so, how much? And eith aromamizer, is it possible to remove a full tank of juice to fiddle with the coil build? Thats something i forgot to mention in criteria. I got so annoyed with needing to drain my fogger everytime, that is eventually what discouraged me.

I like the best of both if possible, a good mix of flavor and clouds. As long as i can tell the difference between a candy flavor juice and a breakfast flavored juice xD

I am sure @roxynoodle and others could tell you good RTAs that give both clouds and vapor.

But in my experience shorter RDAs and RTAs give better flavor than taller RDAs and RTAs.

Shorter RTA means less juice capacity.
My Goblin Mini holds 3.0-3.2 ml and has better flavor than the Veritas and Magma RDAs and as good as the Freakshow Mini or the Rogue. The only rda with better flavor is the Darang

The Kayfun Nano is a little behind the Freakshow Mini and Rogue but very respectable.

My Nano is a clone. It has a Kayfun Lite Plus base, barrel and Nano chimney and a Bell cap screws down over everything.

The Nano will have to dump your juice every time you fiddle with the coil or wick. Same goes for the GMini.

I usually go 6-9 mls before re wicking my coil.

If you are careful removing and replacing the cotton a good strong coil like 26 gauge can last 3- 3 1-2 months.

You can get a Kayfun basr for $4-5 on Fasttech and a bell cap kit thre for $5-6.

Or you can get a complete Nano there for about $12 at fasttech.

With the FDA making rumbles I bought a few extra Kayfun bases and Bell cap kits. I got my Kayfun bases yesterday and they are every bit as good as the one I had bought elsewhere. The only problem I found was that the screw in the fill port was about 2-3 mm to short but a magnetic screw driver will take care of that problem and keep me from dropping the screw on the floor too.

I have a 6ml Aromamizer and I swear by it. And yes, you can remove the deck and fiddle with builds without having to empty your tank. I personally think the flavor and cloud production are top notch, but I'm running dual claptons, 2.5mm at 0.33ohm pushing 75watts. B)
