I have one that I got with another e-cig. It is metal and it actually discharged my batteries especially if the battery was engaged with the atty. I kept seeing the LED light glow at times thru a small crack in the case when the e-cig was in the case and the room was darkened. I haven't tried the metal case with my 510 cause I am using a hard plastic eyeglass case for travel and storage. No problems with the plastic cases.
Someone else posted a problem with their pv battery dying from being in a motorcycle saddlebag. Some of these batteries are very sensitive to vibration, metal and who knows what else.

Vibration, metal, static, really have nothing to do with it. Some batteries are sound activated. They actually have a tiny microphone that senses the air rush through the atomizer. Most are vacuum activated, which have a tiny vacuum switch, and will not activate unless you create a vacuum by sucking on it.

I use #1 and #2 when I travel.

1.) An eyeglass case from the Dollar Store. Glue in some foam, and cut out for your stuff. (You're cheapest choice.)

2.) A dart case from a sporting goods store. They have some really neat custom cases. The batteries, and e-cig fit perfectly in the built in tubes that hold the darts. Small pouches hold spare attys, tiny bottle of juice, and carts. My Dart case for long term traveling holds my e-cig, 5 spare batteries, 8 carts, 8 attys, and 2 tiny bottles of juice. It fits nicely in my shirt pocket.

3.) You can check out Walmart, Best Buy, Office Depot, Office Max, and a few others for the Case Logic cases. Case Logic has all different kinds with different styles of small storage pouches and holding straps. Hard and soft covers.

4.) Small camera cases.

5.) Cosmetic cases.
