Over the last few weeks I decided to take up a new DIY project (I'm already DIYing coils and juice), which is making lip balm (because my cats always steal my lip balm and I'm thinking it'll be cheaper and better for my skin to just make my own (because of alcoholism I developed severely chapped lips, and store-bought lip balm just makes it worse, so for about two months I've been using pure extra virgin olive oil (works like a charm, but not something easy for taking out and about with me))... and I was thinking about flavorings/sents I could put in lip balm... and I realized that propylene glycol-based flavorings are drying, and would not be good for that application --- but glycerine is moisturizing.
I've been wanting to find glycerine flavorings for awhile for use in my DIY juice. TFA has started an organic line that's VG based, but they only have three flavorings (strawberry, dr. pop, blue raspberry)... and I was definitely wanting something orange for lip balm.
I've found some things that will work for lip balm, but not vaping, and some things that will work for vaping but not lip balms (because they contain alcohol).... but still not much as far as glycerine-based flavorings.
So I had a thought... I'd come to ECF and ask if anyone knows of any vendors offering glycerine-based flavorings. Preferably alcohol-free! (If they're not, I can still use them for vaping, just don't want alcohol on my lips for the same reason I don't want glycol).
I know there's got to be some good, reputable vendors out there... but I'm having a hard time locating any. So... any suggestions?
