I have been looking for a video of the Vortex Acrylic APV in action. It has a fan that blows through the connection to the atomizer.

I am interested because I have been making devices for theatrical effects utilizing e-cigs. Of course, the question in my head is, "How much smoke does it produce?" No videos on You Tube yet.

Also, since it is not an atomizer itself, I imagine the results will vary greatly depending on how much resistance to air flow is present in the atomizer. Is there a recommended atomzier for maximum smoke generation from the fan alone?

What I really like about the Vortex is that it produces a great amount of vapor for just a 3.7 volt device. The fan is small at just 15 mm square and produces just a small amount of airflow which really increases the throat hit and vapor production of the device.

Under ideal conditions, the Vortex will produce a steady gurgle of vapor from the tip when turned on but not always usually due to e-liquid blocking the air flow.

It's not like a fog machine or a lazy way to vape as you still have to suck :), but it is a really enjoyable flavorful vape that tends to not burn due to increased airflow. I'll try and get a video posted tomorrow.

I wrote Mad Vapes on their web site, and they replied that there is a video on their Facebook page. It is a very quick video.

I also asked what atomizer they recommend. I know it obviously would not work with ones that have air entrances on the side of the atomizer, rather than through the electrical connection. And the amount of airflow restriction is obviously going to be a big factor. They replied that the Trophy Bottom Coil Tank is the one that seems to work best. That is the one in the video.
