I have been using my Innokin VTR for 5 months now and love it. Work in construction and it takes a beating. I have bored out the outer ring (not cut off!) to fit my kayfun and use it every day. I used to carry stick style pv but after breaking many 510 connections the vtr seemed a good idea. Was hoping if anyone has heard of a dna powered vtr or something similar on its way. Was thinking of trying out the reo but heard they might have something vv vw on the way as well. Nothing against mechs. I own two and like them as well. Just like having the ability to switch power on the fly and not worry if my battery is low or fully charged and give a weak or to hot of a pull. Have seen others putting the dna in there vtr on there own. Definitely not looking to tear anything apart.

Other than the Diablo Fulgoris - for which I've seen two versions, but isn't out yet and may be made from wood rather than aluminum ... the only "make-your-own" that comes to mind, would be if a Kato "square box" clone would take a 18500/Kick II - although light on current capacity - that'd be about the closest in size/form factor... for now. ;-)

I took a set of calipers to my VTR after it died with the intent on installing a DNA or SX chip in it and with its current form factor it does not have the clearance. I really hope Innokin is working on something, especially if they keep the shelf and ring but make it accommodate larger devices. If I had access to a 3D printer it'd be a done deal and I would have made a device already, but alas.

Hope this link works. If not just google "DNA in a VTR" and you will find links to this info.

I see you are from Greenville, NC also. Do you visit any of the local vape shops?

I have seen that site and read his info, I think it is either using a heaviliy retrofitted VTR with an 18350 or it's a fake post. There is no way for the chips to fit in there at stock.
Hey, nice to see someone local! Yea I regularly check in at Supreme and the Pirate to see what's new in addition to occasional trips to the Raleigh area, but I heard a rumor a new shop might open up just down the road from me on Allen. Do you frequent the local shops as well?

I hang out at Supreme Vapor three or four times a week. I am the tall retired old dude. Used to go Smoke Smart until they decided to only sell starter kits and get away from rebuildables.
The only thing I have heard coming on Allen is a company that will be making flavors/juice for the market. It is a joint venture of two tobacco companies I think.
I heard rumor last night that the Vapors Lounge(on Red Banks) was opening a second store on 10th street somewhere near the college.

I think I might know who you are. I usually come in with a Hana clone and KFL around 5 during the week. I am yet undecided whether or not I feel like I want to just go and hang out there, the place has a lot of potential to be a great hang out spot. I have never heard of Vapors Lounge oddly. Is it any good? Smoke Smart I've also never been to, but that is mostly out of choice from what I have heard about them.
