hey has anyone changed there led on the ecig i want my dse 901 to glow blue instead of red any one ever do this ?

Try CZEdwards's 'Pearl Ash Cap Replacent' mod from the cosmetic mods forum, you may not be able change the LED to blue, but if you could find a translucent blue 'pearl' the red led would(should?) shine through as purple.

Buy a new battery lol, by the time you would be done installing a new led, your battery would be dead.
You will need more anyway much sooner than you expect.

Nobody in the forum has been able to replace the led, they are so tiny, you can hardly see them.

Changing the cap might give you different effects, but hard to get the blue from a red led.

I've done it many times!
Just unsolder the whole small round board in the tip.
All it does is transfer power to the chip LED (which is too small to work with)
Clip the leads very short off of a standard sized LED.
Grind down the optics of the LED so it will be short enough to fit.
Solder the two wires coming out of the tip to the LED.
Replace the cap and youre done!
