I have 3 dead Rivas/Egos. This may be a dumb question but would like to know if inside is a normal 3.7 battery - like what is used in Box mods? If so I want to get to the actual batteries inside to see if in fact they are really dead.

I'm sure someone has cracked one open before. How easy/difficult is it to do?

Note: As I continue thinking about this I am pretty much sure that a battery (as in mods) is probably not in them.

Here is a picture of what one looks like They are not like regular batteries that have a case or shell around them. Also be careful once you take them off the circuit board in the eGo they will be unprotected batteries.

They are not the best for mods. You would have to add a protection circuit. Then if you look in the picture these have wires, no positive or negative caps. So if used as it is you would solder it into a mod. Which brings up how are you going to charge it. So you would have to engineer a way to charge it by either building a charging circuit into the mod or going the route eGo use, by designing a circuit using mosfets to let it charge without having to hold the switch for two hours. So when it is all said and done thats alot of work to end up with basically a eGo . If i was going to go to the trouble of building all that i would want at least a pack that is 2500mah or higher, to make it worth my while. Most use Protected batteries like 14500 or 18650's. One they are already protected and two they are easily removable from the mod so they can be charged.
