Hey guys. Been vaping for 10 months now. Got into DIY juice. Got some advice on here and tried 70/30 pg vg to combat shortness of breath. It only got worse. I 've been dripping and gone through about 20 ml of juice a day for 5 months at a minimum of 35 watts with direct lung hits. I think that much vaping has taken it's toll on my chest. Does anybody know how long this tootle puffing will take before I can stroll down the street without breaking into a sweat, and then lying down when I get indoors? Anybody else?
I do fine on 70pg/30vg tootle puffing 18 to 24mg Nic, only 2-3 ml unflavored or lightly flavore juice a day on nautilus mini's with 1.2 ohm vertical cotton coils. If I do higher vg my lungs feel tight. That greasy film on cloud chasers car windows might be a hint it's not the best thing for your lungs over time ... I smoked for many years and my style of vaping smaller amounts of high Nic juice mouth to lung works best for me.

Oh no. Cheers @Bad Ninja Lol it sounds like i'm big. No been going for only about a year so far but i'm not working so I got a lot of time. I'm recovering from a severe tbi where I couldn't walk or talk 19 months ago. I smoked for a while after the incident and felt fine. Soon as I started dripping 20-30 I got bad. Maybe it's just a coincidence. My poor brain can't hack it. Still hope I can revert to breathing fine with effort.:)

I rarely ever suffered with my asthma, when I smoked; once I started vaping and ditched the smokes... my lungs started having a connimption fit 20 times a day. I'm just about certain it's because of those topical-anesthetics, "smoothing agents," in cigarette tobacco -- though cigarettes were putting a load of poisonous crap into my lungs, those chemicals fooled my lungs into thinking they were just fine. They weren't really fine at all, as evidenced by every morning's cough-up session, but they were "numb" -- I couldn't feel their distress, so I thought it wasn't there.

Once all those chemicals are gone from your lungs... you can feel what your lungs REALLY feel like.

Na. Ok well thank you very much. I'll try it, why not? Mullein. Ok. Do you think you know know why it works for you? Cheers @justagurlinseattle

I have no idea.

I have 3 or 4 different inhalers and they don't work at all for me.

I was without an inhaler one time, and my lungs were in BAD shape, I could not breath
and my lungs/ chest hurt so bad... it was just horrible.

I did some research, to see if I could find other things that might help my breathing issue.
I saw Mullein mentioned a LOT... People drink it, use it with steam, and even smoke it.

I use a tea called Organic Alvita Mullein Tea bags, I buy it on ebay.

here is some info on Mullein:

http://www.livestrong.com/article/159004-mullein-for-the-lungs/

Expectorant
Mullein has expectorant properties, meaning it may help loosen phlegm and break up congestion, according to Drugs.com. Some herbalists use mullein on a traditional basis for treating asthma, tuberculosis and pneumonia. The University of Michigan Health System notes that the traditional uses of mullein may support a role in treating chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, which includes emphysema and chronic bronchitis.

OP, if you are over 40 years old and have been smoking for years, you should ask your Dr
if they can send you in for a Lung X-Ray.

The first Dr I saw just said... me breathing and lung issues are due to my smoking.
Yeah, I kinda knew that already, and he also kept telling me that my lungs could not hurt
as they have no nerve endings... Yes, that is true, but yes, lungs can still hurt, mine were hurting
all the time, not a normal type pain.. but, pain none the less.

Fact is, I knew that something was NOT right... I wanted to have a clear diagnosis as to what was wrong. Listening to my lung
sounds did not alert dr's to anything abnormal.
Anyway, I went to my regular Dr, he is absolutely fabulous, he sent me in for an x-ray, and this is when they
found I have early stage emphysema.
I'm glad I did not listen to the first Dr, had I not pushed, I would not know that I have this.

You have to advocate for yourself.
