So I've wicked my rebuildables with XC-116 and cotton, but I've never done anything with mesh. But the big reason I use a dripper is to quickly and easily change flavors around. I was at a local B&M the other day, and their tasting gear is a mech mod with a mesh-wicked rba. It was pretty great for tasting... just burn off what's there and put the new juice in. The flavor doesn't stick to it like cotton.

So here's the question. Can anyone recommend what mesh I should use and/or point me to a good tutorial? Thanks!

I use mesh in my drippers. I may not have the definitive and best way of doing it, but it does work well for me. Sort of a patchwork of bits of information found on these boards, and looking at pictures of other peoples setup and such.

The sucky part is that it's somewhat wasteful on the mesh. To bend it properly, you have to cut it diagonally before rolling. Or "on the bias" as some call it. Not sure how best to describe it. Look closely on the mesh and you'll see. Don't cut along the strands. Cut... well... diagonally :)

I use 500-mesh. Wicks great and is quite "soft". I roll it around a length of 26 awg kanthal. 28 awg could do... I don't know. Just took the thickest gauge I had. This "core" will help it stay in any shape you bend it to.

To rinse the wick for flavor changes, I simply dry burn, then run some pure PG through it and gently not-quite-dry burn it again.

Not a great explanation, I know. Hope you make some sense of it :)
