Kent, if you get 'cursor sludge' or something like it, then it's on your PC.
All kinds of things can be done to try and clear it:
- flush all browser history, restart browser
- run CCleaner and get rid of the deep cookies
- defrag, especially if you have >5% fragmentation (hard disk maintenance task)
- with a small/old laptop or PC, get FreeRamXP Pro and use it to clear the RAM after visiting resource-intensive websites that have loads of ads and vids on the page
- switch between two browsers, using the one that runs the fastest
- reboot
- do a hard reset (especially good with laptops: shut down, remove all cables and plugs, turn it over and remove the battery, hit the power button 3 times, replace the battery, replace the cables, start up)
Or give up and go back to bed.
