Hey Thy, I bought a pkg of the Provape LR cartos and will be glad to send you one. These are my first experience with cartos on my eGo and I am not convinced to switch from LR attie and drip tip. They soak up a bunch of juice and don't seem to last nearly long enough until I get that burnt taste. They do give a much warmer draw on the vape.

PM me if you want to try one before buying.

Jan

Hey Jan,

I appreciate the offer but I need to place an order with them soon anyhow and I figure even if they don't end up being my thing then the rest of the pack may be what it takes to get my father to break his e-cigs out again.

I personally cant get the flavor out of any of them that I can get using any other atomizer. They do have some kind of under taste to me that I cant identify.
I have tried almost all of them on the market and they all fall short of 510 attys, imo.

I don't mind dripping with a drip tip. No hassle for me to get better flavor.

Cartos are convenient, but never give me a full, flavorful hit that I can get off of a reg atomizer.

Ok, I tried the 808 cartos. Blah. 510 carts not consistant, not matter what mod I did.

Drip tips, rule.

510 cartos, well they work ok but there is a major drop in flavor. I don't know about life on them yet.

For me 510 atties with a drip tip are still the best. (as long as I don't vape any more flies).

In my limited experience, it seems my cartomizers (Mega 510's made by SGS) have been hit or miss. I got a package of 5, of which 2 tasted terrible no matter what I did. However, the other three are performing like champs over the last several weeks. I've actually stopped refilling carts and have just rotated these three.

The first 5 I got were pre-filled with 24 mg USA Mix which wasn't very good. I've got 5 more empty cartomizers coming this week, so we'll see how that goes. But if you find a couple of good ones, they sure simplify vaping in the car and at work!

Why don't you just drip? It's no different than pulling out your pack of cigarettes and lighting another one. Why all of the sudden any amount of effort is unspeakable with a pv as opposed to what smoking cancer sticks entails is a .......ing mystery to me.

I never in my life lit one cigarette 5 times. that's what dripping feels like to me.

Please write a review. I've never got anything close to a throat hit with cartos even with a 5v PT.
Plenty of vapor but the taste is as somebody said "like vaping juice through a shirt" which is exactly what I taste - full or not. It reminds me of steamed linen or bed sheets.

Good luck with your father. Did you see this? Scroll down to the bottom for the 4 posted videos. It's a beautiful thing.

Most prefilled KR8 cartoz I've tried have the oft cited 'underflavor' that simply doesn't go away. As noted previously there's a few V4L flavors that overcome/mask that.

Blank KR8 and 510 cartoz don't have that flavor. I use blank 510 cartoz on my wetbox and 5 volt Bartleby (and KR8 blanks on the Bart w/adapt.). No problems with either. The last vacation I used KR8 blanks on a 510 with an adapter for just the plane flight for at the airport and it was fine, but other than for use on the wetbox and the 5 volt (for the ohm rating vs. the 510) I prefer regular carts or dripping with delrin drip tips. IOW, except for those cases, I really don't have a use for cartomizers, esp. prefilled ones. I have done autopsies on about 40 prefillled KR8 (a few greencigs) cartoz and about half have some burn near the atty. Half were fine.

I recently cut a 510 carto from a wetbox just to see if there was any singeing and there was none. I think the reason for this is the placement of the needle tip from the bottle of the wetbox (a bottom feed) as it sits in the carto to where the atomizer area is kept constantly wet with each squeeze.
what is this wet box and where do i get one? thank you

Okay 2 hours later and nobody has questioned the end of that comment? Really? lol

Or have you already posted it elsewhere and I just missed it?

p.s. what color did you say your house is again?

:)

As far as the review, when I do get around to trying them I will comment on them. For now though a couple of people have commented on them already here : http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...5530-510-low-resistance-cartomizers-here.html. Might be more out there about them but I haven't seen it yet.

I actually hadn't seen the 4 on that thread. I had seen the first one true did, which was great, but I'll have to watch those ones now. Thanks for the link.

Wetbox is a box mod in the 2AA box size (bartleby, ken's box mod, nicostick) and has a 3ml bottle on the one side with a half moon shape cut out so you can squeeze the bottle. It has a needle tip that goes up through the batt connection into the carto. Runs on the great 14500 900mAh batt good for 8-10 hours fairly heavy vaping, ymmv. And few people go through 3ml in a day. Comes without batts but with an extra bottle and a mega 510 carto 3.4 ohm.

I'm running the 1.6-1.7 ohm LR cartoz (Provapes) in a few of them right now and while the vapor is better, the flavor is decreased somewhat. I'd like to see a 2.3-2.5 ohm LR carto. It's my favorite flavor and I know it well, so the decrease is noticeable to me. But I'm going to try another stronger flavor to see if it will work better with that. That vapor is more than a 5 volt with a 901 atty. Well the Wattage is @8.0-8.3W on the wetbox with the LR carto and a 5Volt/901 combo gets you 7.4W.

Second video tells where, how. Also you can get them from Bigbuyer at cloudsofvapor.com - good vendor, imo and it looks like nhaler is also going to carry them.

Yah I posted about yesterday morning. I actually was trying out cartos and had left my atty out sitting on it's side. Somehow a fly managed to get stuck on my atty. Well I vaped it. I was like, what is that nasty flavor, I looked in my atty and sure enough there was a singed fly stuck to it. It was nasty.

When I got my first PV back early this year a bunch of my coworkers that wanted to quit smoking had me get one for them too.

Like myself, they all got KR808s. 5 out 5 people ended up going back to smoking. Some of them didn't like the flavor, some didn't think they were getting enough "kick" or enough vapor for that matter.

I wish I would have got them to start out on a 510 instead because I think at least a couple would still be vaping.

Even my wife started out on cartos, and after introducing her to the 901 atomizer she hasn't gone back.

Like I said I'm sure improvements had and will be made to cartos since then and maybe I'll try them out again at some point for the convenience factor.
