I love my purple Buzz Pro, but I'm having some issues with my 808 top cap. I have 808 cartos from three different vendors. V4L cool cartos I can get to work with a little tweaking of the post. Ikenvape megas I cannot get to work at all, and 808s from Lightcig USA I cannot get to work at all. None of the cartos seem to be able to connect, they hardly screw on at all, and if I can get them on then I can't them off unless I use brute force, which I don't have much of, lol. They go on so tight, that the top cap unscrews also when I try to get them off. Any ideas? I really, really don't like to use adapters.

New Boge worked fine, but when I switched to a V4L Coolcart (also new), no contact. I went to a 901/808 shortie adapter from Mike, like I use with the Infinity. The 901/808 has been 100%, every carto has worked cleanly on it, adds 3/16" to total height. If a given carto works without adapter, super, but I prefer the adapter to either compressing the o-ring or messing with the screw, it simply works.

Not me. If you crank them, compress the ring, a given carto might work, and some absolutely work fine right off without any excessive tightening, just normal screw on.
The adapter simply works so cleanly that I didn't bother doing anything, just put it on when a given carto has contact problems.
Sometimes simple is the best :)

Did you remove the black rubber O-RING ????

Wow! I had the exact same problems Cari was having with the 808, although I was using an adapter and I had to use pliers to put it on and take it off. I never even noticed the o=ring, just thought it was a shadow.

I just took the o-ring off and it works perfectly, my 808 to 810 adapter that I am using a lot screws on/off nicely.

I just thought I got one with bad threading and didn't want to make a big deal about it, I am really glad Cari asked this question! lol

I tried it on the new coolcart. It turns out that without the oring, screwing the carto all the way down, but by no means forcing it, the draw is really bad. Have to loosen it a fair amount, a place it won't naturally stay, to open up the draw.
I put the oring and adapter back on. If a given carto works with the oring, super, else I'll use the adapter.

Really good information. I feel like a total dummy. Took the O-ring off and my coolcarts are working fabulous. Still have a problem with the Ikenvape megas, but that's okay. I'm going to go ahead and pick up a couple of adapters just in case. I've really settled on the coolcarts for the Buzz. I love em! Thanks to everyone for all of the help!

There is so much variation in designs from cart to cart that we have a hard time designing anything that works on all designs SORRY we try but !!!

I definitely hear you on the variability. My boge hr are fine, but the coolcarts (maybe kanger?) need the adapter.
I've run into threads where people have these compatability issues with even nominal stock 808 batteries, some things don't play nice.
For whatever reason, the shortie 908/808 adapters have worked well, consistently, st least with all the cartos I have used so far.
