I used to log on and click the "remember me" box and I would stay logged on always - even if I shut down the computer. Now, even though I check the box, it logs me out. Even if I only walk away from the computer for a while leaving the web page up - it times out or something. This started happening a few days ago, is this happening to anyone else too? Kind of a pain... :(

Just wondering if you all are 'supporting members', donated money to ECF? Could be something similar to ads showing in threads for free members?
Might not have anything to do with the problems, just a thought.
JenJen is listed as a "super member" whatever that is and I'm a freebie full member and I see you are a supporting member. I know supporting member is paid and I know my full member status is free but I don't know what "super member" is.

It happened once to me yesterday...about 2:15pm....After that one time, i am doing fine... No problems....Maybe just a glitch or something?

That just means I am super special! Everyone took a vote and decided that I needed a special title! :p

Kidding! You get super member when you reach a certain number of posts. As you can see, I have a lot to say! lol

Well it was yesterday which was a long time ago where my brain is concerned. But, it seems to me it was from the first time I tried to log in for the day which would have been maybe 11:30 am mountain time.

Also should add:
Today the problem seems to be gone. But..........I am using my kids pc right now which has Windows XP on it. Yesterday I was using my laptop which has Windows 7 on it. I haven't checked that puter yet today. It might have been a cookie handling update in windows 7. I will report back when I check that computer.

I had problems with that for a while on Firefox. Then I started noticing it with sites other than ECF as well. It turns out that one time when Firefox crashed, it locked my cookies file and couldn't write to it anymore.

You can check by opening your Firefox profile directory and seeing when your cookies file was last modified. If it was a while ago then this may have happened to you as well. To fix it, close Firefox completely and delete or rename the file. Firefox will create a new one the next time it runs.

If it's happening with other browsers too, the problem may be something similar, but I don't know offhand how to check or fix it.
