So Ive only been vaping for a short time and noticed something... I am completely obsessed.

It didnt hit me until yesterday, I was in my local B&M which I normally visit 2 or 3 times a week, and was purchasing yet another mod. I went in with the intent of buying a bottle of my favorite juice or maybe a couple if Im honest and ended up spending ove $150. Went in for juice walked out with a HCIGAR Nemesis, a nimbus clone a Russian clone, ordering an aspire nautilus, and a couple other odds and ends lol.

I go home to unpack my bounty and look at my nightstand which is now overrun with various devices jusices and tools. I cant help wondering if Im the only one this happened to and so fast!!!! especially considering I was a little reluctant to start vaping in the first place.

So for all you advanced newbies who jumped in as fast or faster than me and love every minute of it whats your story?

I started with-
blu disposables(hated it)
blu rechargable (gave it away)
Lizard juice ego kit (better)
2 days later Itaste vv v3 (now were getting somewhere)
2 weeks later- Vamo v5
1- week- a slew of evods aspire bdc's, protank 1, protank 2, iclear 30's
took a break and now Im loving my nemesis clone, and have an mvp2 coming tomorrow
I also have 3 different battery chargers one was free and broke second didnt have enough bays, now I have a nitecore i4.
Also I started with 2 bottles of juice and now have 30 different flavors in various amounts.,

Boy I never thought Id be doing this lol as I sit here on ecf where I spend a couple hours a day if i can, having just made another pair of .8 ohm coils to try out my freshly drilled out nimbus.

I gotta tell ya folks Im in cloud city and love it!:)

I toyed with disposable cig-a-likes while I was still in the stinky days. Didn't like them then and don't like them now. As a smoker, I was nowhere near satisfied with the measly throat hit they offered, and because of this, would not recommend them to current smokers looking to cross over. IMO they do not satisfy nor do they save you money long term.

My quitting success came (quite easily, may I add) when I went to a Vape specific shop and purchased an eGo with a carto tank. I vaped happily for 7-8 months on this setup without even considering a more 'fancy' device. Hardly knew a thing about them, in fact.

Eventually, the desire for something with a little more punch came, and I spent a lot of time browsing the shop. I landed on the k100 with an iGo-W rebuildable atomizer. At this point, I was in love, convinced that dripping was the only real way to go.

I thoroughly enjoy vaping a rebuildable, but began to miss the convenience of my grab-n-go eGo. I was foolishly, dangerously dripping and driving (don't be dumb like me), and realized I needed something else.

Back to the shop where I purchased an iSmoka, the first tank I'd put on a mechanical mod (I had picked up a second mech from SlowTech, too cheap not to), and was relatively satisfied. The iSmoka got a little sketchy after taking a fall in Vegas (I may or may not have been inebriated), not hitting consistently and not screwing on correctly.

Finally I've landed on the Nautilus tank atop my Maraxus mech mod. Currently very satisfied, plug and chug, vapes strong and flavorful, lasts all day on an AW IMR 18650 battery.

There may be a Provari in the not so distant future (Vaperversary coming up!)

I think sooo many people feel this way and really it makes perfect sense to channel that obsessive behavior elsewhere.

I spent DECADES obsessing about cigarettes.

Do I have another pack at home?

Oh god my lighter ran outta fluid *20 minutes sitting on the floor in my closet going through old purses looking for a lighter - can't find one cause I've done this 20 times before and used them all - use the stove*

Last cigarette in my pack - smoke it now or get dressed and smoke it on the way to the store

Oh crap got an invitation to go somewhere if I say yes how long will I have to go without smoking - decline invitation

Avoiding my family because I know I'm gonna get griped at for smelling like smoke and a 20 minute speech from myn mom about how stupid it is to smoke

$20 left till payday - buy food or cigarettes? Buy Ramen and cigarettes

And on and on.

I'll trade this vaping obsession for that crap ANY day! :)

For me I wanted to get an ecig to stop smoking and so I could vape inside "I never smoked inside the house cause of the lingering smell" plus it was December and I was pretty tired of smoking out on the freezing porch.

Week 1-2
Bought a Blu starter kit from the local smoke shop. Only thing available besides the disposables. Loved the taste but quickly discovered the batteries and carts did't last near long enough for me. After first week discovered I could refill the carts with eliquid which I loved cause now I could just buy a bottle and any flavor/nic I wanted. All was better for week 2. Then the charge pack crapped out, that's when I started doing some in depth research.

Week 3
Built a 5v passthrough from a disposable Ehookah and a 5v 2600mah usb power pack and a switch. Ohh yeah!!! Now I was getting awesome vapor production and was actually satisfied. Refilling the disposable with a bottle of eliquid and syringe. This was great and all but I didn't want to take the chance of the disposables coil getting burnt out.

Week 4
Bought a K100 kit off eBay, rocked that for a month but didn't really care for constantly having to refill the cartos. Need some kind of tank system, so I bought the newer version of the kayfun lite plus. Now I could build my own coils to my liking and didn't have to constantly refill.

Month 3
While I loved every thing about the k100 and kayfun they just didn't really go together very well. So I wanted something more streamline all while keeping the size as small as possible. It was a toss between ordering a nemesis, caravela, or a chi you. Found a deal on a nemesis that also came with some switch magnets. Price was to good to pass up so bought that and also ordered a nano kit for the kayfun. Been super happy with the setup.

Started making my own DIY liquid a couple days ago, my vape life is now complete!!! Kinda...
This weekend will be my 4 months of being smoke free, while I love my mechanicals I've recently acquired an itch to try out a vv/vw device. Really like the Provari mini and the DNA devices and the Semover. Think I'll sit on it for awhile as I expect a lot of affordable modes in this category to come out this summer. With china making a DNA and Hanna Modz clone recently, I believe the wait will pay off in the end.

This is my story and love this forum and vaping

If you havent tried vv/vw I would avise it!!! I love my mechanicals theyre simple once you get the hang of it and sturdy but theres something nice about being able to check ohms, battery life, etc without having to really think. Plus theyre fun to play with.

I see that my assumption was wrong that most people went from ego to vv to mechanical like I did. Personally I think it might be better to go straight to mechs first for the simple fact that once you know how to build your coils and such youve aquired a lot of knowledge, where as me when i first started looking into mechs I was a little iffy some of the specs just sounded like greek, now Im like why didnt i get that sooner lol

I will say this though if you buy a vv/vw get one with enough power to take advantage of your kayfun build a coil with enough ohms to run on a regulated device and vape away :)

I can relate to a lot of that. However, once we moved to the suburbs and I was no longer working in the city, I started buying my cigarettes by the carton because the thought of running out of them was far too stressful. I always made sure I had a few spare packs stashed here there and everywhere but when my main stash was down to 2/3 packs, it was time to buy another carton.

Well, that panic induced by the thought of running out has transferred to e-cigs - I've got 8 batteries with all sorts of clearos, cartridges, cartos etc. I've got a boat load of juice - at least 700ml of flavoured juice (most of that will be diluted) and then I've got a couple of bottles of unflavoured high strength nic juice in the beer fridge freezer for "just in case". I've got more batteries on the way too and at least two of each type of charger I need. I don't want to be in the situation where all of my gear has failed, so I'm trying to make sure that I have multiple redundancies.

If for some reason everything failed at once? I'd find one of those packets of cigarettes - there are at least 4 hanging around - and smoke them, heck, I wouldn't even try not to, why put myself through unnecessary stress when I'd cave anyway? So, yeah, I'm thinking of getting a solar powered travel bank, you know, just in case. ;-)

I think that maybe my needs are different to a lot here - I want something small, portable and convenient. I've got 4 egos but I'd rather throw a cigalike (yes, mine does have throat hit - they exist) with some slim 510's with cartos/cartridges in my handbag to go somewhere. Even when I was smoking I didn't buy packs bigger than 20/25 (packs of 40/50 are common here) because they were too bulky. So, part of my obsession is finding the perfect set up for me and my requirements.

Thankfully I seem to like nearly all of the cheap juice I've bought, so I'm actually avoiding the expensive juice - I don't need to get expenive tastes in this area!

Anyway, with all of the gear I've bought (even counting the stuff to set my sister up), I'm still ahead compared to smoking cigarettes.

Am I the only one that constantly seems to have shopping carts of vaping gear at several online stores? As soon as I complete the order, the cart starts filling up again.
