In getting off smoking I heard that it is wise to have spares. I got a spare system/etc. right away and kept it in my car. My car is most always near by. After many, many years of smoking and failing to quit, I wanted no excuses for myself. I have heard about theft, misplacing them, leaving it on the roof of the car, breaking, etc.

I have been grateful 3-4 times that I had spares, including juice. Even on the bike...especially on the bike.

Always have a spare set up! You're right. I do have 11ty mods and tanks but as a daily carry I have my Reo Grand (affectionately named "R2") that goes with me always and usually a Billet Box or a Kayfun topped Provari as a back up in case something happens.

All the rest of my stuff pretty much collects dust!

Fiance and I are like you, OP. We each have our own Mvp's. I just had to get a new one about 2 months ago and gave fiance my old batt. Mine was in better shape than his but now that one is going down the drain fast. The mod itself is still fine but the threads are stripping out. I got the MVP 20 watt and fiance is looking forward to getting himself one. I love the 20 watt for the simple fact that it has the threaded adapter on it. You know, the one where you take the adapter off and you can use 510 threaded tanks, etc on it. So if the ego threads crap out, we can just get another adapter for it.

Yeah we're pretty strapped for moolah but that's the wonderful thing about Innokin... they're like a timex watch; takes a lickin' but keeps on tickin'!! ;);)

Well, most of my mods were well under 20 bucks, and most of my toppers were under 15. So when compared to what I spent on cigars, its dirt cheap. I can afford to collect them, and they are a lot cheaper then watches, cars, bikes, or even dogs. (I do collect kitties though and I`m currently, one over my limit, LOL).

First thing I learned when we started vaping, even before I discovered ECF. We were using cigalikes with cartos at the time, and had issues with the charging packs and batteries. I always made sure we had a few extra batteries, chargers and cartos. Still have them, just in case everything else fails. We were able to set up my daughter's boyfriend's grandfather when he decided he wanted to try vaping and insisted on something that looked like a cigarette, with the provision that if he decided not to vape the equipment would be returned or given to someone else and not thrown out. We got the equipment back, and has not told the boyfriend what he did not like. I would love to talk to Grandpa to see if we can find out what the issue was, and maybe get him set up with something that will work for him.

When we moved on to Evods, I was able to order 2 starter kits each for my daughter and myself, along with a Protank 2 Mini for each of us, so that we each had 4 batteries, 4 Evod tanks, and a Protank 2 Mini. We have had batteries fail, tanks melt or get dropped onto cement, etc., and still did not have to worry - we had spares, and I made sure to replace each item that failed as soon as I could. Those are our main backups, and I have enough spares of everything to set someone up if they want to try vaping, and still not worry if our main equipment fails.

My daughter is now using an Innokin VV v3 with a Nautilus Mini. I am currently using a CoolFire IV with either a Nautilus Mini or an Evod Glass tank (I am planning to order myself another Nautilus Mini in a week or two). The boyfriend is now using a Kanger Subox Mini kit with the sub-ohm coils.

We are on a tight budget and most of the vape budget comes out of my Social Security check after my share of rent and bills are taken care of. We upgrade/order spare parts, etc., as and when the budget allows (except for coils and eliquids - those are in the monthly budget). Thank the Goddess Nicotina that we have a local vape shop with knowledgeable employees and prices that are comparable to online vendors that we can turn to in case of emergency.

Aw ya jus gotta be in the right place at the right time. I don't have any mods that I paid more than $10 for. I've won several good mods here. Just this evening a friend shared an ebay link for Evic VT 60 watt kit w/eGo one mega tank for $9. between 5 of us we snatched up 13 of em before the seller jacked his price back up over $60. You're an ECF member now you don't need to buy mods, just follow the contests!
