I've always felt comfortable in good shops, owned and run by enthusiasts. The bad shops with overpriced trash, workers with no knowledge of the products they are selling, and owners clearly in it to make a fast buck, not so much. I expect to be one of the most knowledgeable people in a vape store, not the only one.

I have been in some shops where the employee's are not friendly and seem like they couldn't be bothered to help me, and they loose my business, but the majority of them are very friendly, knowledgeable, and provide a fun environment where I will just hang out. I apologize if you are having a bad experience, I would recommend shopping around and finding one that you like.

If it's a shop I've never been to before or one that I've been to very few times. The shop right across the street from my office, on the other hand, I may as well be one of the staff, feels totally natural to be there. Sometimes I'll help other customers find stuff they like while the owner is mixing my juice.

Do you mean the shops where there's a bunch of kids blowing large clouds and chit-chatting amongst themselves and make you feel like you are a nuisance? If so, yes. In more professional shops where the employees are friendly and not just young punks looking to have their teeth blown out by sub-ohming in an unsafe manner, I always feel comfortable. Shops are in business to make money and they should be professionally operated. They shouldn't hire 'kids' that don't have a clue about what they are selling. Granted these are probably minimum wage jobs but, as businessman, I would do proper interviews and have written policies of what is expected of employees and I would ensure that my customers are comfortable and not intimidated.

Yea I feel your pain, I like to go out to new shops and support these bm
In my travels. It's like they can't be bothered or don't really care if I stay and make a purchase.
When they finally get around to notice me and ask can I help you I tell them don't bother I will
Buy it online. Not all vape shops are equal some are really terrific and the staff helpful those shops I
Go back to for my purchases.

Most shops around where I live are friendly and fairly knowledgable. The only issue I have is with one particular shop. Even though they are extremely friendly, they have bar stools all down and around the juice bar where you sit and test juice. Every time there's 2 guys sitting at the corner where the Five Pawns juice testers are. They aren't testing juice, they are vaping their own juice and hanging out there! There's no way to try that juice like that. I just try it elsewhere but its aggravating. It's their most expensive juice and that keeps people from testing it. I tried at least 4 different visits before going elsewhere. It's usually the same guys. Sometimes 1 guy will be different. They just sit and Vape in that spot which happens to be right in front of their most expensive juice. If I owned that store those dudes would be over on the couches, not there. They have a huge area with couches where you can Vape. Ugh.

Other than that issue, the other stores are awesome.

i dont know if thats just me

I feel like the proverbial 5th wheel everytime I go into Steam Cigs, which is apparently "modzzzz central" in this area. I don't know exactly why, but the people who work there just don't seem very welcoming to me.

Another shop I go into, The Vaping Shack, I feel completely welcome, the proprietor is always there to smile and say hey, how ya doing! when my husband and I walk in the door, and endlessly patient with me testing all kinds of flavors. He's very friendly and personable and easy to talk to, just a really nice guy, who seems pretty well informed and experienced with vaping.

A couple other vape shops I've visited in the area, I felt fine, not awkward, but maybe not as thoroughly welcomed as in The Vaping Shack.

Im very fortunate to have 3 shops within about 5 miles of me. One I will never go to again because it's like a bunch of ?@#heads in there who could care less if an outsider like myself comes in. Of the other two I consider one my go-to because it's where I got my start. I know the owners and they are usually there along with a very helpful and knowledgeable staff. They carry really good juice and if someone doesn't know the answer to my question they will politely say so and someone else in there will. The other is a lot smaller. They really only have one flavor of juice I like but they do sell Aspire BDC coils. They too are very friendly and don't pretend to know everything. They also have a rewards program where you get five dollars off your next purchase after you spend fifty. I frequent both places depending on what I want or need. Both places guarantee everything for thirty days and will even give you replacement coils if you ever get any bad ones.
