I got an ego-t a few days ago and I love it, other than the experience I had today. So it's day 3 with my first cartridge, I first notice that one side of the mouthpiece has had some liquid run into it. That's no big deal, until I started sucking juice in with the vapor. So now I'm thinking that the 7 cartridges that I got with the kit won't last me long if this is any indication, and I'm wondering if I should order a bunch of them. How long do they last people without having to toss them due to leakage through the mouthpiece? Thanks!

There doesn't seem to be a way to get the mouthpiece off, and that wasn't the issue really. The thing normally prevents the juice from running through the mouthpiece when you hold it upside down, it stays in the main compartment, and whatever makes this work failed in this cart. In addition to sucking in juice, you could hold it upside down and drip it out. So other than that, it's super easy so far, I top the thing off with juice once a day and that's it. I can live with replacing cartridges every few days like this if needed but just need a heads up as to whether this problem is typical or just a bad cart.

I had it leak juice when I vaped once. Just cleaned it out. If you draw too vigorously, you pull it into your mouth.

This is a gravity system somewhat as well, so when you vape, keep the .... of the ecig down a little.

What DID happen that I wasn't too happy about is the tank bottom leaked into the atomizer (2 of them) & killed the expensive $10 atomizer ($20 down the drain in 3 days).

So now, I fill them normally, but when I put the ecig down, I lean the .... up higher than the tank (to avoid it accidentally draining it into the atomizer).

at the end of the evening (or where I can't vape: work), I also take the tank off the atomizer & cap both sides of the tank, with the caps that come on the tanks.

OK thanks for the link, I read that drawing too hard can cause this, my hand is way up on that one. I'm glad to hear that it's not all that common for most people I'll try the tip of drawing slower and see if that helps. Someone sayd sitting it down and putting it in your pocket isn't ideal, can't do anything about that, it is what it is :)

My troubles had to be with how I was assembling the thing. Putting a tank full of juice onto the atty causes enough force that it pushes the wick down. Repeat that enough times and the attys didn't work for me. For me it was easier to switch back to a standard eGo than it was to learn how to take the attys apart and fix them.

for a quick fix on the juice in the tip (say you're out working in the yard with no paperclip or whatever). Just pull the tank out of the atty, and give it a few quick blows through the mouth piece, wipe the fluid that dripped out of the air canals off. then take the atty off. Blow the excess fluid out (from the battery connection side) put it back together and keep moving. Not a permanent fix but it'll quickly get you back to vaping your juice rather than drinking it untill you can figure out the real issue.

The ego-t tanks can get condensation built up in them. If you are using a clear tank, you can see droplets form. The condensation is juice that has condensed on the sides and eventually will form droplets you will suck in if you don't either take the tank out of the atty and blow it out or swab it out.

The other thing that can happen is the hole in the cap gets wallowed out and starts leaking juice into the atomizer and floods it, this could also cause you to start sucking juice. The latest tanks I got came with a newer design cap.

I have been using the ego tanks for a couple of weeks now, although on a Riva SE. No problems so far. No leaks, no juice in mouth. I did take a tip from this site and removed the secondary cap on the mouthpiece and then replaced the top one. This produces a little more airflow and reduces condensation in the mouthpiece.

With that said i am looking forward to some issues because of all the reports on this site. So far, it has been an extremely pleasant Vape.

I have been using the ego/tornado tank system since Feb and the only time my cart truly leaked is when the fill end had cracked from removing the cap and when I had not properly seated the cart into the atty. I believe what you are seeing in the mouth piece of the tank cart is condensation build up. The atty get really hot, especially if it is a LR tank atty. To help reduce the condensation in the mouth piece, remove the two little pieces in the tip. I promises you, juice can not get in the mouth piece. To test this, make sure your cart is seated properly in the atty, turn your PV upside down. You can keep it upside down and not juice will get in the mouth piece. I also believe removing the two little pieces in the tip will help cut down on the condensation that builds up around the outside of the cart that is in the atty. It's a good idea to take your cart out in between refills and wipe the moisture off from the cart.

I turn mine upside down all the time to make sure there is juice in there, no problems normally. This wasn't condensation it was a leak, half of the tip was full and I'm guessing I got a good dose in the mouth, maybe a quarter of a ml altogether got away. So it just was a breakdown of the mechanism keeping the juice out, from drawing the crap out of it I'm guessing. I've eased up and it's a better vape as well, no loud gurgling sounds either LOL.

If you have a clear tank cart, hold it up to the light, there is no way the juice is coming from the inside of the tank cart. The only thing I can think of is that you are drawing so hard, you are pulling the condensation mixed with a little juice from the inside of the atty. We are going to have to call you Hoover lungs! LOL
