As I said in an earlier post, he says the Evod starter kit I got my sister in law is too big. It is 650 mah I believe. I know it is not big but he wants small so I think this one might actually work for him. I did NOT want to go with a cigalike because I don't think it would work for him but I am hoping this one will. It is 510 threaded so will a protank mini work on this? He can take extra batteries if this will work.
yes, they are 510 and eGo threaded, I think the protank mini is ego threaded (uses the external threads) so they should work

They really aren't that big are they?

But I guess some people want the little bitty ones...luckily...there are TONS of options out there

They do have mini-ego batteries...teeny tiny but power is somewhat limited
And with a carto or nano clearomizer or 510-T atomizer, or Kanger T4 they are even smaller

I like auto cigalikes for out and about
I was on vacation and running out of disposables (White Cloud Minis). I picked up a "Logic" kit at a gas station for $20. It's an 808, came with a batt, 2 carts and a USB charger. I had packed 6ml of liquid just in case so that was covered. It worked well so I picked up a "disposable Logic"($10) kit for the extra batt on my 22 hour return trip.
It works surprisingly well and I am using them for out and about.
Part of the transition is having something similar to smoking... not having to push a button.
I wouldn't spend a lot. Just get him a substitute for the analog to last a day or two. You can't make someone want to quit.,
The Keyring has always been on my list, a 10 pack of white Cloud Mini disposables, a good rechargeable cigalike & some liquid...
Don't spend a chunk of change on it. Let him decide.

510-X type automatic batteries work ok, 510 threaded but they won't fit standard eGo chargers unless you remove the plastic ring around the charging screw head

510 X Starter Kit

not a bad price, I got 2x 510-X batts, and 5x 510-T atomizers and 5x spare tanks for a little less than what they are asking (from a chinese supplier and had to wait a little over 2 weeks to get em)

510 X Starter Kit

This is the closest thing I know off that might be what you are looking for. They are a a bit fatter, about 1 millimeter thicker but the same length as a regular 510 battery. You can put a 2.5 ohm 510 carto or a bit lower for decent vapor and hit. I don't know what ohms are for the one they are selling on that website. I use them when I paddle because they fit in my waterproof case and are still light enough to hold in my mouth. I had them for several months now and the seem to one of the more reliable 510 size batteries. They don't fit the 510 charger so you need to get the kit. You can also get them at fasttech for less if you don't mind waiting.

I was a 40 year heavy smoker and I was sure about 2 things when I started...auto and cig-size. So I ordered a cig-sized kit. BUT I made a mistake and ordered 1 auto and 1 manual. It was the best "mistake" I ever made. I found that the manual, even with the button thing, was just more like actual smoking. I just could not get used to the primer puff thing...always sounded like Darth Vader was walking around the house.

I don't disagree with the cig-size theory...some people just need those to get started but will get bigger batts later. I do think manual is just better...not auto.

That's what I was afraid of. :sigh:
He is 62 years old and works construction so he doesn't want anything big. I got my sister in law to make the switch 5 weeks ago using an Evod kit and he says that is too big. Good thing is she has not had a cigarette in 5 weeks! My brother is on top of tall buildings a lot so it would be hard for him to deal with it and a lanyard is out too. I know if I got him to switch for a few weeks he would probably find a way to make something better work but he is not real interested right now. Thanks for everyones help!

what about somehting like this
Gripper
very very tiny the carto is actually inside the mod. It uses an 18350 battery do 800 mah

Thanks for all the suggestions, I have looked at them all but I think DC2 has posted what I need. The SD Keyring by Trog I hope will be the key to get my brother off analogs! Extra batteries of course but I think he won't mind that at first. After a week or 2 I think it will be easier to convince him to go larger. Wish me luck!
