I really love my 901-T, but I'm not sure of the best way to clean it. My first atomizer I soaked in vodka, dry burned and then stored with a couple drops of juice in it. Started it back up a few days later and I get nothing but a burning taste on it. I ended up tossing it because it was so nasty. My second atomizer I soaked in vodka, rinsed and let dry. Once it was dry I fired it back up and it's mostly working fine, but occasionally I get a burning taste on it especially after putting some high VG juice through it.

So should I not soak in vodka? Should I run them until they die, or rinse once a week or so? I'm not going to dry burn again, because that atomizer was foul afterwards. Right now I'm getting about 1.5 - 2 weeks out of one atomizer, and that's acceptable to me. But I thought they should last longer.

Any advice?

Where you least expect it....
To properly clean these types of tank systems. You first have to remove the piercing plate. If you don't then you can "burn" the wick which can leave a lasting burnt taste. You can get yourself a hemostat. Then just clamp onto it from both sides and pull.

Make sure not to pull out the wick within it. Since it may make it harder for it to be re-inserted into the piercing plate. Also, it might cause performance issues. However, it's not a big deal if you do. Just re-adjust the wick until it's back to normal.

In addition, they don't work well with VG e-liquid. Since it will lead to wicking issues as you've already found out. PG based e-liquid performs better in these tank systems.

Lastly, if you find that it didn't work the first time. Then you might have to give it a few more tries until the flavor is gone. These atomizers are very resilient and should definitely last longer than two weeks.
